>piano
>we had a piano when i was young

>bass, guitar, a little drums and keys, lolrandom instruments
>because 4 strings was easier to play than 6

>Guitar
>Because of Kurt Cobain
Yeah

professionally? electric bass.

my friends were starting a band and bass was an open position so i learned it to join them lol.

for fun? ukulele and whistling.

both are easy and relaxing and make me feel happy

>drums and guitar
>got no mates

>drum
Always thought they were cool
>accordion
I got my great grandpa's accordion when he died and I'm trying to learn it just for him.

Same

>bagpipes
>met a guy who played them when I was a kid and he offered to teach me

guitar
thought it looked and sounded cool, and was the easiest avenue to enter the magical world of music creation

Guitar.

I just love the sound a guitar makes, always have. I gave up any ambitions to get beyond amatuer level, early on, but I loved the music scene and industry, so I found other things to do in it.
I tried trumpet, piano, drums, singing while growing up, guitar is just the one that spoke to me, and I love learning to play, to this day.

>guitar
cos I like going dung dung dung dung weeeeeuuuaaaaaauuuuaaaaa

>Drums and guitar
Drums because a friend taught me when I was young. Guitar became my main focus as a teenager. I picked guitar because my dad plays too so I had access to all his shit.

Synf, because I'm a mediocre keyboardist so I can mask my inadequacy with knob tweaking and effects pedals.

>drums
>you get to sit down

>bass
>i like big heavy sounds

open back banjo
sounds neat

You're both fucking gay and Kurt is a loser. Nirvana songs are the easiest bullshit to play on the guitar.

Exactly, they're good songs to learn when you're a beginner

guitar because autism. fidgeting with strings makes me happy. i can't really even play any songs, just noodling. I'm only just learning theory and it's actually quite fun, just in school they taught it in a retarded way like maths, youtubers are better teachers than what I had in school. thanks for reading my blog.

Bass guitar, because I love shonen knife
youtube.com/watch?v=PX8vMflBSpk

But that isnt bad, that means Nirvana actually teaches you how to play.

>Guitar
I thought that girl's like it (very very wrong)

>Viola
John Cale fanboi

Love it too - acoustic and electric. From what I see, I'll always be an intermediate player (at best). Yet, it's still fun af.

Guitar, but I'm better than everyone here

>all of them
>because I have no friends

trombone because i joined band in 4th grade and there were no drum kits left

based trombone bro. tfw you upgrade to the F trigger trombone. Man I miss band. Our director was based as fuck we played Beatles one year the next we played Alan Parsons Project. Damn that was good times.

The drums because i couldnt think of anything else to get for Christmas

>trumpet
>No piano teacher near, I was joining local marching band and they needed trumpets

>Violin
My parents started me on that when I was 6
>Bass guitar
My brother had already gotten a guitar and I didn't want to copy him
>Electric and Acoustic guitar
My brother gave up on learning so I took his acoustic and his electric and learned them
>Drums
Boom boom, bang bang, blast beats are fun.
>Piano
My dad bought one so he had something to do when he retired. He gave up on it as he has fat fingers and is too old to learn how to play it well, so he gave it to me, kinda sad but y'know.

>banjo
>because that's how it makes the noise dummy

>bass
>omg tame impala !!!11!!

>guitar
>wanted to play with all my other family members who played guitar around the campfire at reunions

Drums.
It picked me. Always understood the logos of rhythm. Got a set at 13, was playing OG Slipknot with marching sticks by 14

>Guitar and Keyboard

>guitar is cool and easy and Keith Emerson

guitar
because weezer cuomo also all my friends played guitar

>drums
>bought drums

>guitar
>had lots of free time

>Bass
>Because of Cliff Burton

Clarinet...

The saxophone chairs were full at my middleschool...

Bass because of Cliff Burton and Vic wooten

Bass, it feels good when that deep buzz rings through your fingers as you play it

guitar. i don't remember actually, but i was always interested in music. i think wanting to be liked by girls had something to do with it. i wanted to be the guy up on the stage.

Cello
Because my life has always been pure kino.

Cello is kino, it’s like violin but less pretty and more somber, I can’t decide between them. I think I’m going with violin though, even though I prefer the warmth of the cello sound, a lot of violin pieces are just too beautiful for me to go with anything else.

>Tuba
>Sucked at trombone so switched to this shit

Guitar and percussion(think tambourine and maraccas and shit)
Guitar is pretty damn fun to play and someone going off with a tambourine in psych/garage rock is so fucking good(I love some of the earlier Brian Jonestown Massacre albums because Joel does it so fucking well and its rad)

Alto sax, guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, accordion. I have a mandolin, but I cant find a decent application for it

>Bass Guitar
>I was too spastic to be able to play chords consistently

>bass, piano, drums
>I main the bass because there's 1 decent bassist for every 20 mediocre guitarists. so i get to pick who i play with

> electric guitar
>because of motha fuckin dimebag

>singing
>too cheap to buy an instrument
I’m also learning the piano

>guitar
Because it's the lead instrument in a lot of music I like and is very cheap to get into
>violin
Because I've always loved its sound

>I got my great grandpa's accordion when he died and I'm trying to learn it just for him.
I wish you best of success in honouring him. Great instrument, too, my father also used to play it when he was younger.

>guitar
>a friend plays guitar and could lend me one for aome months, I also think it's cool

>some piano
>to make electronic music and play synths

I picked classical guitar because of that japanese guy from youtube who played BBF3 cover. He was bullied out of youtube for wearing panties.

Bass
because Adventure Time first came out when i was like 11 and i lowkey had a crush on Marceline. then eventually it just evolved to the same as my other bass bros

Princess Bubblegum is better girl

I have a piano but idk how to play I just make my own songs on fl studio with a simple melody I make, and I usually just do the melody on my laptop keyboard

well they're both carpetmunchers now so the fun is ruined for everyone
that said, you're fuckin wrong

Attached: best gril.jpg (1023x839, 155K)

>carpetmunchers
>bad
Wrong again, two times already:)

>injecting completely unnecessary homo agenda politics into kids shows
>good
now you're wrong twice user

Kill yourself. No joke this time, do it.

>banjo
>my uncle had one and i liked playing it

Didnt that dumb zoomer shit just come out like in 2012, jesus I guess that was 7 years ago.

Girls just don't like you

>bass guitar
>geddy

>guitar
>gf left me

Piano

I'm not good at designing sounds or making any good patches for keyboards so instead I focused on getting really good at piano

>Guitar
>Bass Guitar
>Synthesizer
Because I like to get real creative, I guess

I forgot to add drums. Really bad at it tho

bass
i listened to alice in chains and picked up the bass sounds first

>homo agenda politics
You're an example of why the horseshoe theory is true, you act like a fucking SJW and complain about "muh homo agenda" the same way faggots complain about "muh white supremacy". Gay people exist, and saying "duhhhh, if gay in show, it bad and push agenda" is fucking moronic.

>bass guitar
>saw a video of Nikki Sixx playing a thunderbird when I was a freshman and thought it was the coolest looking thing ever.

Banjo
Sufjan

>guitar
A friend had an Ibanez hollow body Electric guitar. I thought it was the coolest looking artifact in the world and instantly wanted to have a guitar just because of how cool they looked. I started learning on my dad's acoustic until I was good enough to buy my own electric which was an Epiphone Les Paul.

>bass
A friend lent me his and I found it really fun to play along to simple songs. It also showed me how to use my fingers instead of a pick.

>guitar

I really liked AC/DC at the time and wanted to be like Angus Young. My dad also played guitar so I could borrow his stuff when I first started. I think I was also inspired by Adventure Time somehow because I’m an autist

>Bass

I don't pkay conventional instrumentation. I invent my own instruments for one time use then destroy them.

based

harmonica cos cowboy bebop :DDD
tin whistle cos it's easy and i like irish music
i'm ok on the tin whistle and shit on the harmonica

You mean gihm? That guy is incredible.

>drums
Started at 10 because idk... I guess because I played snare drum in the 5th grade marching band. There was a shitty Pearl kit from the 90s in my house. It's still what I use. Have had two teachers throughout the years, one a Latin-based drummer and one from a Rush cover band. I mostly play metal now.

>keyboard
Started at 12. Was getting interested in music, and realized I wanted to obtain knowledge about melody/harmony, not just be a stupid drummer. Ended up surpassing my drum skills over the years, since I did a 6 week summer camp at Berklee.

>bass

>guitar
>math rock

>drums
>I thought people looked cool playing them

>melodica
>it's cute

First piano because I had a keyboard when I was like 6.
Then French Horn because my uncle played it

>bassoon, clarinet, saxophone, piano, electric bass
>an instrument is the means to speak the language of music. Once you speak the language, how you speak it suddenly does not matter as much

>bass
>how could you tell?

electric/acoustic/classical guitar
piano/keyboard
bass
I've always been more interested in composition than playing the work of others so while i can read sheet music and compose on all of them adequately (plus a strong amount of theory) my technique is admittedly mediocre but im working on fixing that, anyways should i learn Violin or trumpet next

>piano
>because I wanted to play Bach Handel and Haydn a whole lot

Percussion ("everything" but mostly 4 mallet vibes, set, and snare)
I started in middle school and just coasted until I got really into mallet music at the end of sophomore year

Piano, wanted to learn it, I'm not great

Guitar, it's cool

Trumpet, sax, flute, I can play notes and function on easy rhythms

Bagpipes, very mediocre but a really good player is teaching me for free so that'll probably change

>drums
>it's fun

Banjo
Because I was obsessed with folkpunk when I was 16 and I didnt wanna play guitar anymore.
Based banjo bro

Fiddle. Started when I was 5. Dont play much any more

>Keyboard
cause the method of input made the most sense to me and its the easiest to understand music theory with. Also cause I wanted to play synths and make electronic music.

epiphone dot

because of the lil melody at the beginning of The Stone Rose's "I Wanna Be Adored"

t. newfag trying to fit in

>bass
>cause slap bass sounds wacky

Based I love my melodica

I like to jam out with my cock sometimes when nobody's around.

You try too hard

>Guitar
>because my uncle and brother played, also because i like mustaine

>alto saxophone
>because it’s not gay and easy to play

only shallow?

>guitar
I just kinda had one around. Took a class in community college and it became my major.

>piano
They made me learn piano, but now I want to get good enough to play some Debussy and Ravel

>bass

>music i like has bass and guitar, everyone plays guitar but not as many play bass

>guitar and drums

Because I don't wanna depend on any motherfucker to make music

>mbira
>easy to carry around even with a lot of keys. I like the buzzing melodic sound.

>Guitar

My friends and I were into heavy rock when we were kids. Like 7 of us bought electric guitars around the same time; I'm the only one who still plays.

First guitar cause I couldn't afford the synths I really wanted 25 years ago. Now I have started building a modular synth. I just love exploring the sounds.

>Fucking trombone
>Dad wanted to live vicariously through me because he was too shit to get anywhere
Fucking fat faggot cunt, fuck you. Could have played drums but noooooo

pretty based t b h

Keyboard, because pressing buttons is easier than plucking strings and fingering wood, and you can make cooler sounds.

Guitar.
>compact (relatively)
>versatile
>sonically flexible
>easy to learn and play
My only regret is not getting piano lessons along with guitar lessons. Piano sucks as an instrument but piano lessons can be applied to synthesizers and MIDI controllers, which are far more relevant nowadays than guitar and piano combined.
Piano is a bitch to learn, though.

You can sit down with literally any other instrument, though. Entire orchestras sit. Guitarists sit. Bassists sit. Flautists sit.
Come to think of it, I don't think there's a single instrument that requires you to stand.

shut your whore mouth, Daughters suck

If you can stand when playing, you really should

Most of what you'd play on a synthesizer or MIDI controller is very basic piano, unless you're planning on doing an electronic-classical hybrid. just learn lots of songs, embellishments, riffs, etc.

>Piano
Feels extravagant to play
>Lyre
Wanted to play an instrument that sounds like nature
>Harp
Found the Lyre fun so i decided to pick up a large one
