Paranoid Black Sabbath. Also post Rock is shit except Sigur Ros.

I mean I wasn't asking for opinions on the genre, just asking for more pioneering albums. Also what genre did Paranoid pioneer? They already had a debut before that which is much more innovative.

good thread op
thank you, Im enjoying this

Might not seem like it but Weezer actually didn't invent shitty music.

Producer Clams Casino has been credited as pioneering the cloud rap sound as early as 2010,[7] but the general sound predates to 2006, with Viper's first album, Hustlin' Thick.

shit music

All wrong.

Half right, half wrong.

All wrong.

Fuck you.

Give an example of an entire post-rock album with significance before Spirit of Eden.

Not what the OP asked, so you are still wrong.

They didn't pioneer it, they just made the best album in the genre that still stands unmatched.

>Half right, half wrong.

Make a guess.

Modern hip hop today owes more to southern hip hop than Kanye, so no, wrong.

Wrong

what do you actually call this genre for real though? I know it isn't vaporwave. and vaportrap isn't a real genre let's be honest.

imagine being this wrong

Baroque pop was arguably started with In My Life on Rubber Soul, but even before that the Beach Lads were using the harpsichord, so I attribute the foundations of baroque to them

Shoegaze

they really were ahead of the curve on a lot of sounds

Attached: Sunflower-Beach-Boys.jpg (820x820, 93K)

not even close, he is just the most famous artist in the genre

All I Wanna Do is an anomaly. Nothing else at the time sounded like it, the group never did another song sounding like it and it's sound wouldn't start being replicated for another 20 years

I can't say for sure if other groups were actually influenced by them or if it was just a confidence that they adopted sounds that were already made by the Beach Boys', but they sure seemed to accidentally create genres a lot

The Beach Boys Love You was kind of the precursor synth pop

dubstep (pretty much)

Attached: Screen Shot 2019-07-30 at 10.40.07 PM.png (624x626, 534K)
