The individual songs on Hosianna are pretty distinct from one another which can't really be said for most of the rock oriented popol vuh albums. Also the Aguirre soundtrack would be great if it wasn't basically one song repeated with slight variations.

The weird eclectic musicians and the tightness of it all is the whole appeal to me, its so complex and it all teeters on the brink of wankery but it has this core of discipline to hold it together.
Living in the Heart of the Beast took me 4-5 listens to acclimatise to because of how many gear changes it has, but little motifs and cells carry across and keep it moving. Fuck me I love henry cow

Sure, and I was someone who listened to metal the most; most of their lyrics have very little to do with feminism, thank god. Their lead singer is massively talented, their guitarist comes up with really interesting riffs despite her technically limitations, and their drummer is actually pretty good.
