He was never really that good to begin with, and even his "good" albums had only a couple songs a piece that were ever worth listening to. He went from being a quirky drug rapper to a boring, preachy uplifting guy who sounds like his target audience is those church councilors who sit on chairs backwards to try and relate with young people.

I know it’s Donnie Trumpet, but it was still heavily Chano on it. I don’t know how he had that good stuff and then spat out Coloring Book after it.

Surf is sortof in a weird spot. It's not really a chance the rapper album and it's hard to rank it as one because it seems to be more of a collaborative project that he just happens to have a major role in. I feel like it's just as much about the features on it as it is about chance and donnie trumpet & SoX. The fact that the features are uncredited only proves that more imo

Yeah, this. Acid rap is cool but it’s really obnoxious at times and very juvenile... colouring book is way more mature, with better songwriting and way less obnoxious bird noise Ad libs. It’s the flower boy to his wolf and the only ppl who would deny that are either blinded by nostalgia or refuse to take it seriously because of how heavily he discusses his faith on it

Dude is overrated as fuck. I like Acid Rap but something about him really annoys me and his soul stuff seems so phony.

Admit it though, most of the hooks and a lot of the song ideas on Coloring Book are downright stupid. I can't stand "all night i been drinking all night i been drinkin all night eh eh eh". Even No Problem one of the better songs goes on for 5 minutes and becomes super annoying.

"Mixtape" sucks too
