I remember coming on here 5 years ago and finding out about interesting albums every fucking day. People actively shared albums from all different eras/genres. Now it's all mainstream hip hop + fantano scores + KPOP + godawful memes.
Post your favorite album Yea Forums introduced you to.
Pic related was kind of a mix of seeing it on Yea Forums and Reddit enough times that I decided to check it out. I found about about Brand New through the Yea Forumscore chart and I like their albums a lot too.
You may have just posted it user. That shits great but I have to admit a lot of my favorite albums may have gone undiscovered without Yea Forumss glory days

>now He hasn't changed, just triggering plebbit more than usual, which isn't a bad that Also nationalist, not racist
Is this some copypasta I'm not familiar with? I also browsed Yea Forums in 2014 and posts like yours were all over the place.
Literally the only difference between 2014 and now is that indie rock and post-rock were just a little bit more popular. Very understandable considering the recent death of both genres. I kind of miss Yea Forums unironically discussing dream pop though.
And for your question I guess my answer is The Antlers - Hospice. Can we revive the SYYYYLVIIIAAAA meme?
Yea Forums has never been a shining beacon of what an image board should be, but I’ll agree that over the last few years there’s been a fair amount of Yea Forums- and /pol/-creep which has generally lowered the quality of posting across the board.
Also not really an inherently positive of negative thing but Yea Forumscore seems to have all but disappeared as of late. You don’t get a fraction of the NMH shitposters anymore, they’re all shitposting Pitchforks flavour of the month instead.

Glad, cause without Yea Forums i wouldn't discover this album/band
This will always be the album that comes to mind. Hell, it kinda feels a little warm/fuzzy knowing you played a role in making this album a cult classic.
it's been the same kind of shithole ever since I began to lurk here back in 2011. pitchfork and fantano threads, posting the same top 200 albums from RYM, and your flavor of the month album and waifu threads. the best ways of discovering new music were recommendation and share threads, same as always. the only difference is that for some godforsaken reason being a tripfag was a good thing in here so there were a whole lot of spergs circlejerking about their tastes. thank god they're gone for the most part.

The election just opened the floodgates, most of regular /pol/tards from oldfags to reddit transplants couldn't give two shits about this place.

Honestly the main thing is just how much the activity has declined. From what I recall Yea Forums didn't used to be much slower than Yea Forums or Yea Forums, yet now it's almost Yea Forums tier. It means there's less diversity of taste and just makes the bad posts stand out so much more

m8 Yea Forums is way more active than Yea Forums you are chatting shit
But Yea Forums is an utter shithole of the lowest calibre, the best boards on this site are the slow ones. If anything there's a direct negative correlation between activity and discussion quality.
