Some of these, sure. But I genuinely have not heard "Mouth" or "Crush" in 20 years.

I wish dance music had that sound now.
Remember when somehow UK rave music + Manchester-scene indie/rave fusion had crossed over into the American mainstream for some reason:

Grab the M1 VST, 909 clone and some Loleatta Holloway samples and there you have your early 90s dance construction kit.

literally anything from the 90s. zoomers are oblivious to the world that existed before they were born.
>zoomers are oblivious to the world that existed before they were born.
True to an extent
>literally anything from the 90s.
False, zoomers tend to know things that have been selectively passed down through appearance in mass media/usage in internet memes/connection to modern day pop music.
So stuff like "All Star" and "Wonderwall" are remembered because memes. Artists like Biggie/2pac and other rap songs are remembered to some degree because rap is currently the mainstream music of choice. Very select remnants late 90s pop music is remembered because it's not as distant from when they were born and would have conceivably still been around during parts of their childhood and/or would have been part of tv and movies.
All Star is remembered because zoomers grew up watching Shrek
betcha zoomers didn't know
Gwen Stefani came in a dark theme

Hundred million views somehow
One, this song technically didn't come out until like mid-2001
Two, it was incredibly popular at the time and continued to be played into the ground for years after that. You literally heard that shit everywhere.
Three, Train managed to score hits up until the early part of this decade so it's not like they were exactly relics from another time
based
I remember that Gen Xers used to consider 1998-2004 the downfall of pop culture and the cancerous teen pop / nu metal / trl era. People kept saying "1993-1997 was the true 90s" or "That 98-99 pokemon britney nsync stuff wasn't true 90s, felt more like proto-2000s".
But nowadays, you have millennials in their late 20s on Buzzfeed/Twitter saying how 1998-2004 was the golden age of pop culture or "the 90sest era ever", and consider anything before 1998 to be outdated/overrated/not interesting for them. A complete reversal in opinions.
I agree that 93 to 98 was the depth of the nineties and that's what made them the worst.
Not a single good song posted ITT. Keep it up guys
The 90s was the last decade where it mattered where you were, pre-widespread internet. Britpop being the obvious, but not only, example (which was 94-98ish although you can argue a year in each direction if you want).
