They're all amazing, but I'll give it a try:
1) Little Red Riding Hood Hit The Road
2) Sea Song
3) Alife
4) Little Red Robin Hood Hit The Road
5) A Last Straw
6) Alifib

scaruffi drone general?
I appreciate you replying, user, but how could you put A Last Straw above Alife?
It's not a bad song, but it just isn't up there when it comes to song writing. It's not as interesting as Alife, neither does it do the melodic and touching prog-song thing nearly as well as Sea Song. Wyatt was mean to put it after SA, where ALS will always sound washed-out.
Don't have to be a Scaruffi drone to understand it's one of the best rock albums ever made.
I like the guitar playing, I think it is mike oldfield

A Last Straw is the worst track
Sea Song is the best
The more I think about it, you're probably right about A Last Straw. For my money, though, I'd still go for Little Red Riding Hood.

Listened to this for the first time today and was honestly thinking that old man scruffy might be right this time.
What do you get out of this album? Why is it a one of the best ever? I listen to it and don't really know what to make of it, good or bad. Sea Song and the second half of Alifie are kind of haunting but that's it.
A combination of imaginative lyrics, beautiful use of melody and harmony, interesting jazz influences and methodical build-ups and climaxes of almost classical nature.
Oh fuck I thought you were going to announce he died when I saw that pic.
Sea Song is my favourite then the poem at the end of the last track. I worked out an arrangement for Sea Song on my guitar if anyone would like to hear?
But what do you get out of it emotionally? I don't quite get what the hell the album goes for.
It’s hard to explain, for me I just found it so beautifully bittersweet, it’s sad and it’s funny at the same time, I love the wordplay and the melodies too. It’s eccentric and wholly original, hadn’t heard anything else quite like it before. I guess the closest album that had a similar effect is Another Green World but the lyrics are better in Rock Bottom.
unironically, read the Scaruffi review

Go for it.
Of course.

For me, it's how he's packaged his experience of becoming a paraplegic into one package of shivering vocals, experimentalisation, weird allegories and overall eccentrism.

Thanks guys, hope you enjoy.
