I only browse a few boards nowadays, they're all kinda shit but /jp/ and Yea Forums don't take themselves too seriously, which is much closer to the Yea Forums I remember.
Board culture changes every few years, I've seen it come and go so many times with each iteration thinking theirs is the 'right' one. Do yourself a favour and don't get caught up in it, it's meta-politics for idiots.
