ITT: God tier Post-Punk albums
154.
Also the best of Wire's classic trilogy, in my opinion.
"A Single K.O." damn near saved my life.
at least for me
>Any thoughts on Public Image Ltd.?
>Massively over-celebrated in my lifetime. I enjoy the first record and "Four Enclosed Walls," Metal Box is ... fine, I don't know if I need all 8 minutes of "Poptones." It's just the thing of when you have this captive audience that only knows the first thing you do, and then you introduce them to all these other musical ideas and bands you like by imitating them, you know Can all that stuff. It works and it's its own thing but you compare it to what they were actually trying to accomplish, and it's pretty mediocre. If that makes any sense. It's one of those bands people love to say they "get" and I'm dubious of any band who has that whiff of snooty artifice to it, whether it's technical or conceptual. Like Faust or Harmonia or that crap.
Also Public Flipper Limited.
