It's because he looks like he should be competing at Smash tournaments and not rapping. The truth is that most rap is trash and it's largely about personality and on-screen charisma, and Slim Jesus comes off very awkwardly. It's almost like it's a joke. At any given time there are probably only about 5 people on planet earth making rap music that is actually worth listening to as a genuine artistic experience. The rest is just social music. Like memes.
