Why Nirvana?

The Beatles, which was my entrance into pop music and music in general.

Queen.

Nine Inch Nails

I like them

Fugazi

Probably Tool back in about 2004. Once 10,000 Days came out I lost interest,

Led Zeppelin, my father had a record collection from his youth.

Do they change anything up? I heard three of their albums and they all sound like one song.

Pink Floyd or Nirvana.

it was different than anything i'd ever heard before, but at the same time pretty palatable for someone new to rock

>It's like he doesn't know the boots and demos exist
>Doesn't have a copy of Raging Wrath Of The Easter Bunny, and calls himself a Bungle fan

Burzum
I have a commute of decent length and so every time I do it I listen to an album.
Burzum was interesting because there is a gradual and easily trackable change from Aske to Ways of Yore that felt very organic.
It also made me realize that he never really made anything truly unlistenable either.
Except Daudi Baldrs, holy shit it's hilariously bad.

beatles

Johnny Cash, after I hear American Recordings.

nick drake

System of a Down. Honest to God, I would not be into music at all today if it weren't for that band. They got me into music at all and sparked my unending love of music.

Op asked for your first artist you fucking retarded faggot

How would any of us be able to remember back that far?

>daudi baldrs bad
Okay retard

Korn.
Slipknot too but at the time they only had 2 albums (not counting their very first one since I didn't even know it existed then)

The Residents

true.

Do people really not remember the very first band they fell in love with?

“Who can remember what op asked”

Deerhunter

I remember the first band I fell in love with, but it wasn't the first band I listened to the entire discography of.

Pearl Jam.

>he didn't blow his birthday and christmas money on trying to hear every album from your favorite band

System of A Down, son.

Of course I did that, I just listened to the discography of many other bands, artists and composers before that point.

Viva la vida is a great album but nobody would ever say it on this forum.

Kendrick Lamar

why wouldn't they? Its an anonymous forum. Maybe its just soulless overproduced crap devoid of meaning like everything else Coldplay ever did

Boards of Canada, I was obsessed with their music in middle school. BoC and Flying Lotus were the first two music acts I listened to seriously.

Haha

Maybe Summoning? I think that’s honestly the only band where I’ve listened to all of their releases except the demos

The Beatles

linkin park and eminem

Q Lazzarus

death grips

Daft Punk. ah, I remember being amazed at the catchyness of their samples and how extremely cool they were in their helmets :) Discovery was also the first full album I heard :)
