Sup maggots, hows your /comfy saturday synth/ going on?
Me? Im composing some KINO in my Yamaha PSS-790 directly into FL Studiow aka fruity fucking loops, triggering some high quality VSTIs and getting bassically ART. Hope youre doing as nice as i am ;)
Nice. I had the PSR-210 and those higher models were just some unattainable tech from another realm.
Dylan Ross
Just toying around on my PO-32. I kind like it
Sebastian Lopez
thats rad. post something. lol. this is small key and all, but the keybed is surprisingly comfortable for small shit, also it has an 8 track sequencer and fat n gritty pcm drums aaand got tier dungeon synth rompled sounds that get super crunchy in the low register. post smth ;)
Daniel Cook
Im currently making an EP using my guitar through mostly super mario 64 midi soundfonts, ill post a snippet in a bit.
All of my gear has been on for 3 weeks, tweaking a song I’m working on here and there before I record a live mix down of it...Working up the courage to get back in it. Fighting the urge to forget this one and start something fresh.
>Fighting the urge to forget this one and start something fresh. you dont like it that much?
Austin Morales
I've booked studio time. Gonna record drums, guitars, bass and other small samples on old phone that has a real lo-fi quality. Gonna dump all the tracks in FL Studio and put a bunch of keyboard parts, real and VSTs. Any Tips?
Ryder James
>Any Tips? dont?
Josiah Wilson
just not what I was going for originally, and I think I’ve let it play on a loop too much
It’s changed some, but here is a snippet of where it was at when I started (LFOs are out of sync though) instaud.io/3UE4
Anthony Cox
i like the crudeness and fatness of it.
what are you going to use in the future now that instaud.io is dead?
you listen to only RPG games soundtracks and that kind of stuff right?
Jaxon Brown
can someone recommend me a good first synth that isn't outrageously expensive? i've mostly been looking at behringer and korg stuff. i don't exactly know what i want out of it, i just want something i can learn synthesis on. polyphony would be nice but the minilogue seems to be the only option for that.
Cameron Smith
I just bought a Scarlett 2i2, been making good progress with my hifi setup. Just need a new pair of headphones, a cloudlifter and another XLR. What the fuck, it is? How much longer does it have?
Elijah Perry
its already dead.
im literally recording as we speak in my 2i2 2nd gen. p good and its a qt.
Cameron Diaz
Damn does this mean we're stuck with clip.it?
Grayson Campbell
some I do, but not exclusively. What points you to that thought?
Exactly that for me too. It reminds me of the music they used to have between educational programs for schools in the UK on Channel 4 in the early 90's.
Thats cool, reminds me of a montage on a news segment about technology from the mid 80s.
Wyatt Adams
I was thinking of early 90s keyboard demo or computer game but I'll take it.
Elijah Bailey
The microkorg is a good starter gateway synth, at least it was for me. Also as another user stated, novation has some good deals for it's VAs (their sound is not my cup of tea thou) Don't fall for the analog meme if you're looking for polyphony, it's not something that can be achieved easily on analogs and that's why the good ones are so damn expensive. Tried a Model D the other day, the filter is nice but it's size was a dealbreaker, tiny filsmy knobs is not the best for dialing sounds. Or I got too used to the ultra-confy microbrute layout
Oliver Morris
>THE REVOLUTIONARY CD ROM! >early CGI compact disk comes flying with sparks behind
Evan Perez
i have wanted a synth like a bass station 2, but can't justify it since it would really only be practical for live music...i have been using synth1 and kamiooka. anyone else like these?
Samuel Baker
Synth1 was always considered to kind of along the lines of a virtual Nord Lead.
Ayden Watson
it may be too old for some people but i like the simple layout, before i had no idea about synthesis
Matthew Adams
I liked one of the soundbanks way back in the day. The one with Armaggeddon Bassline in it. It doesn't sound right on the newer versions of Synth1 without some major tweaking to the effects.
Just made an atari punk console. Shit is ridiculous.
Daniel Barnes
What'd you use?
Evan Myers
serum and repro1
Leo Brooks
I like this thread so far. I'm much more interested in what people do with their synths than just an endless feed of gear photos.
Bentley Nelson
No kidding, I thought it would just be some shitty kazoo toy for kids. What I got instead was a literal fucking pulse demon, goddamn
Grayson Diaz
Am I supposed to be impressed by the Speak N' Spell version of a synth?
Jeremiah Robinson
did you go completely from scratch or from a kit? i want to learn about electronics but i have no idea how to get my foot in the door
Jaxon Sanchez
this. Put some ldrs in there and it gets even wilder. I did scratch. The kits are a meme desu. If you don't know anything about electronics the kits aren't such a bad idea I guess. Just a bit overpriced is all. I just followed a schematic and through trial error got it working. It also has a cv out so that will be fun when my beatstep arrives.
lmao lies. ive done plenty and also discovered some cool new artists while sparsely browsing here. u a procrastinator.

>We’re so proud that the VC340 is now Europe’s number 1 best selling synthesizer.

>Uli
can Uli get any more based? he even dabs on "industry experts" aka tranner and soibois youtubers .
>garbage what do you mean user, that the Behringer products dont work properly?
Noah Gomez
I just bought a Reface DX as my first. They're not terribly expensive, polyphonic, and light. It was a tough call for me between the DX and the CS, I'm still not sure I made the right call but I was swayed by the per-operator feedback and the double effect slots.
Levi Scott
i hadn't considered yamaha, i'll check those out. thank you
Oliver Miller
would explain the holdup
Gabriel Rivera
what are you talking about user?
Jordan Sullivan
> u a procrastinator Well you're not wrong
Brayden Howard
i really enjoyed this but i can see where the video game soundtrack vibe would come from
Sebastian James
yamaha reface cs or behringer neutron + controller of your choice
I think the noisy horn or siren sound or whatever gets old really quick
Kevin Mitchell
i agree, that snippet was my weakest today.
Lucas Campbell
Massive sounding analogs also need to get thinned out to fit within a production later on unless they're the only thing used. Fun for playing around though.
