Pod predated Nevermind, not Bleach. I like the Bleach and In Utero incarnations of Nirvana, but I see you point regarding Nevermind. Kurt was pretty up front about wanting to rip off the Pixies/Breeders at the time, and he did a great job of it, but I've never been a big fan of Nevermind because the influences feel too obvious.

That happens to me with so much stuff nowadays. Stuff I didnt like or appreciate as a kid or because MTV played it to death back then. But when I hear the songs now I like them so much more. Is it just because its a nostalgia thing and it makes me feel like I'm in the 90s again? Music has a funny way of doing that even moreso than movies or anything else

Yeah it is a great question. Probably a little of both nostalgia and also appreciating something more now that is removed from its overpopularity at the time. I had a sister who listened to all this stuff and I heard it coming through the wall next door constantly so I hated Babes in Toyland, Veruca Salt, Belly, Sleater Kinney, Hole, etc without really giving that music a chance.
