>read rave reviews about it
>everyone i know going crazy about it
>decide to check it out
>starts with a nine inch nails rip-off cello riff
when did it became acceptable to shamelessly copy other artists and be considered genius for it?

Bad shill is bad
Its acceptable if you do edgy music for white beta males.
fucking shill how much are they paying you to shill this wannabe nin and Chelsea wolfe rip off album ??
lol skipping tracks now and every song uses the reznor chord progression
Don't worry user, this album isn't for everyone
yeah, you probably aren't the only one to not get it
actually music is not bad, and vocals are enjoyable too
but these 14yo praise the satan lyrics are laughable
$13/hour
this is the future
>Don't worry user, this album isn't for everyone who alredy listened to nin and pharmakon

PMS the album
>I wanted this record to begin with an overture that anticipates melodic themes and material you’ll hear later on. I was thinking of the Vorspiel to Wagner’s Das Rheinhold and also of a traditional vocal round or the all-knowing Greek Chorus, and the song creates a ring like the record creates a ring. Variations of that cello line are heard throughout the record. I made it a little more organic than operatic by pitting a major droning arpeggiated base below a plaintive minor line, and vocals that are slightly off. It ends with altar bells, which is an homage to the bells on All Bitches Die.
I'm sure she likes NIN but that's not what she was thinking about with that. Her album guide is a pretty fun read if you care enough.

if you take this approach to listening to music, you will probably never enjoy yourself.
all artists borrow from each other, whether its sub-consciously or not.
i agree but nin uses the same chord progression on most of their catalogue and it's so "theirs" that someone else using it comes off as unoriginal.
it's like bands copying tool riffing style. it's too unique to be used by others.
a textbook case of "music for white millennial libtards", her previous album was even worse
update: finished listening. i can see this being cool live but on record it's just tryhard aggressive music for people who think listening to black metal is by default racist.
Reddit poster is reddit.
but you have to remember that nin more than likely got that progression from other bands before him. nothing is really original. but thats not a bad thing as long as you can paraphrase it in a meaningful way.
i'm sure someone used that progression at one point, but no one made it their signature sound.
this
half of Ariel Pink's songs are straight up rip offs
wow this is garbage. wants to be the new diamanda galas?
this album is a fucking chore and managed to sound samey and boring even using a myriad of instruments.
This is Diamanda Galas but actually good.
Pleb filter'd.
