OP is confirmed retard and should go back to containment
dumb waifu poster
>le scary junjiito anime goth girl
back to twitter
>ask actual question
>get silly insults as answers
never change
it's the other way around
you started with a retarded premise and only then you asked your faggy biased question
you deserve nothing but scorn and insult you dumb faggot
it was bait, and not even good bait.
it was lazy and you still got (You)s. quit bitching and go back
how is the premise retarded when the whole world disagrees with you. japan had like 1 hit jpop song "pon pon pon" 10 years ago (mostly for the weird video), meanwhile korea is constantly dropping hits. this is "pop music" remember.
no one outside of weeb neckbeards here listen to jpop because it's just not very good. i'm sorry to say. i only like maybe 15 songs despite trying to find some good jpop for years. it mostly comes off as very amateurish, low budget, low effort when compared with korean counterparts.
i'm actually curious why japan is lagging behind so far. maybe they're too insular so they don't feel external competition as much? i don't know.
because the language sounds better
Un-fucking-true
JPOP > kpop
Forever
/thread
jpop sucks and its for literal children
>japan had like 1 hit jpop song
>i only like maybe 15 songs despite trying to find some good jpop for years
>it mostly comes off as very amateurish, low budget
embarrassing arguments
go back to your containment thread where you can freely post your high budget plastic surgery freaks who constantly produce easily digestible pop for non-weeb neckbeards
>embarrassing arguments
>go back
wow my arguments have been totally refuted! thank you sir.
Hipsters and weebs who think they're not like the other weebs got into 80s jpop after Youtube shilled it and vaporwave sampled a ton of it so there's that at least. Might be some market there
I listen to pop for complex thematic developments, too
this anime girl is scary but I wanna fuck her
Asians naturally stagnate. Jpop was good in the 80s and partly 90s. Then it just... stopped. Kpop is going through the same thing right now, but it's still partly in the honeymoon phase. It's getting very self referential and no one is bringing anything new to the table that is taken off with the public.
The question is, how did jpop or kpop get their golden ages at all? If we could figure that out we could jump start the system.
right in the feels
that's not true, japanese is way better than korean
compare the same song in each language and see for yourself:
Your premise is retarded because Kpop is retarded and you are also retarded go back to your containment thread shitheel
>Pop is not a genre (not true), is an etiquette, so the more you sell the more good is your music
Well, then I suppose Justin Timberlake it's better than Björk.
Btw, every person that listen to Asian music can be classified, kpop listeners don't pass 17.
stop feeding the troll ffs
K-Pop has better singles and is more clean, poppy, and appealing to the masses
J-Pop has better full albums, sometimes weirder, appeals to smaller subculturals
When you start arguing that Korean pop must be better because it's more popular in America, it might be time to go back to the drawing board. Just look at the garbage that tops the charts in America.
>no one outside of weeb neckbeards here listen to jpop because it's just not very good.
Japan doesn't do much to push it overseas, and it doesn't have a sound or aesthetic that Americans are looking for (and the aesthetic is important).
