this, but don't listen to the ones without Jim, obviously
so, self-titled?
Yes, start with self titled and then listen to all of their albums chronologically. But first listen to their best song to understand why they're patrician youtube.com
>band has 6 albums
>"which should I avoid"
Poseurs and scaruffidrones will say the best is the S/t, but it's really LA Woman
Every album is pretty dang good though desu
Break on Through, The End, Light My Fire, Riders on the Storm, People are Strange
Listen to these songs and you've listened to their best stuff.
cringe
you know i'm right
>no Ghost Song
>no L' America
>no Crystal Ship
>no Love Me Two Times
Fucking trash tier scaruffi drone, gtfo
this was amazing
Who is this "Scruffy" man?
riders on the storm has never done much for me
i'd say break on thru and la woman (besides the mojo risin part) are their most effective efforts. La woman has a few of these like guttural howl yelps by jim that really just speak to the dude's pain and gives me frisson.
my dad likes the doors and i was so contrarian as a kid and would mercilessly talk shit on them for pretty much no reason and have regrets over it
More than any man ever seen
I was about to put L.A. woman on there but held off since I don't thinks it's as strong as the others. It's definitely up there though. The rest I find to be mostly overly sappy and romantic poetry that's very of its time.
>riders on the storm has never done much for me
huh, it's always been my favorite ever since I
was a kid
>besides the mojo risin part
that's my favorite part it's great
>my dad likes the doors
same except I listened to them too
Holy fucking shit dude
BASED AF
i get the "the mojo risin part is my favorite" from people pretty frequently and considering the sample size i have from that and the fact you like riders on the storm i'm inclined to believe you might just have some objectively wrong opinions and that's okay we can still share the planet
1. S/t
2. Strange days
3. Waiting for the sun
4. La women
That's all ya need, buddo
>believe you might just have some objectively wrong opinions
and I believe the same about yours. Guess we wasn't so objective after all, huh, chief?
that's where you're wrong
, kiddo
i appreciate the help
you're welcome
Just want to chime in and say that The Soft Parade is underrated
strange days is their best
To save dozens
Listen to only their first six albums, and listen to them in order

this is to expand on the idea of concrete music
and jazz

Fuck you. Don't listen to this guy, user. Full circle is peak non-jim doors.
