Would recommend love your sound! really like the guitar tone and chord progression in the song posted :)
I listened to lunar reeling and musically it was very enjoyable to listen to, I enjoy the meandering cadence to the phrases, I wish there was more than just one voice throughout the tune though... I also wish the delay and verb on the keys were just a bit stronger to give it some extra breathiness we’ve interacted before, I think your production skills are impressive (you’re way better at mixing bass than me lol), it’s really cool that you’re fusing many other styles with wubs dope shit, idk what else to say
This guy is really good. I gave you feedback on soundcloud but im lettin n*gg*s know

Fourth and final single for my upcoming project Spider-Man: Redux. The album is based album on the original Spiderman video-game for PS1 Any feedback is greatly appreciated (:
listened to your newest track on SC. this is supposed to be ironically unironic right? the breakdown at 1:15 is pretty sweet.
as usual, you snapped here. between a panic attack and a peaceful nap is the perfect way to put it lmao. I really fuck with how you mix your music, and you slowly build a sense of atmosphere --- you do it exceptionally well.
Bandcamp: bonbos.bandcamp.com/track/test-upload Demos from upcoming album: soundcloud.com/bonbos/sets/upcoming-second-album-demos First album: soundcloud.com/bonbos/sets/cardboard-girls >dream pop >psychedelic pop/psychedelic rock >synthpop >lofi (hifi setup most likely complete by the end of summer) This doesn't need a rapper honestly. Right now, it sounds like public domain music that would be played on somebody's Twitch stream. With a bit more development, this could be a better instrumental. Maybe if it had a better melody, who knows.
I don't know whether to call this rock or alt. rock

Bad job! Your guitars sound soft and flat Good guy >gets scared of his own genre after I ridicule him once LOL It's 2019... you're 13 years too late to the party >spotify you know what i'm about to say........ I'm not proud I can tell that you're a huge fan of me Boost your bass bro needs more phasers Your bass is too quiet
Your beats are a bit generic and I recognize the Samples. the sample sounds like it was recorded to a 15ips tape machine with a live band going straight through a console, and the drums are coming from a drum machine, synth, or stock DAW drum samples, chances are the context won’t make sense, you should always focus on that crispy sound quality bro. In my mind I’m thinking “ok, what can I do to make these drums sound better, like they BUMP to the sample, but still stick out and hit hard?” Bro... Think about it like this, it might mean you have to be processing to the sample, or processing to the drums, or both. And generally needssome experimentation to make it BOOM in the speaker. And also mmatching the space is super key. This isn’t easy, it takes a really ADVANCED ear like mine. But if you can train yourself to listen to the ambience in the sample and recreate that ambience around the drums, but don't get confused. You follow? Next turn up the EQ low end (bass) and ta-da you're better.
Go more extreme with your glitchiness
Egg
Do what I told you to do about your drums. You are so afraid of success
Good stuff
Always a good listen
Worth a listen
heres a tip for getting your guitars to actually sound heavy: Turn knobs marked "gain" or "overdrive" all the way up. Turn other volume knobs down to get the loudness you want. Once you've proved you can get heavy distortion, dial things back to find the tone you want. Focus on being LOUD!! Some amps won't distort at low volumes, mainly because that's dumb as all hell LOL. If yours is like this, either just play loud or give up.
>prejail promo 7/19 coming out this weekend, major improvement in every way and heavy as shit

h8 rap, cool textures tho i suppose very professional sounding, but i cannot listen to this. violin melody reminds me of a vocal line from something i cant put my finger on. this is something. i wish the accordion and guitar playing were better.
Ryan Lopez
Thank you for the kind words. The violin melody is inspired by another tune, but not a direct copy. It's probably why it seems like it's familiar but you can't place it. I have a lot of fun having people guess where my inspirations come from. Some are obvious and some are not.
>i wish the accordion and guitar playing were better The accordion on Stop Spinning is a virtual synth, I don't own a real accordion (but I did get a melodica a month after releasing the current mix of the album). I agree that my guitar chops need practice though, I'm still very sloppy. Thank you for the feedback either way.
Julian Walker
Thanks for the constructive feedback. It's why I participate in these threads.
I wasn't going for heavy as much as I was for distorted, which is partly why the guitars are a little further back in the mix, to accommodate the experiment I was doing with mixtures of guitars and string samples. It's one of the toughest combos to mix without muddying up everything, and I wanted to challenge myself, because if it's too easy, there's no room for growth. Practice makes perfect.
Once you get a new Computer: -1st buy fl studio, its all you need at 1st -2nd make a kick/snare rythem -invite some producers over to hang out and get them to help geta melody / bassline idea -3rd get some studio time, 4th, get some experienced producers to work with you during your session(s) 5th let them do whatever they want to the song to make it good. 6th DONE! you have a new song you can upload online and start blowing up
>energetic synth romp >subdued LoZ stuff >YOU SHALL NOT PASS
sadly, you guys won't be able to listen to this since i set it to private. figured bandcamp could allow sharing private music freely like soundcloud but i was wrong. it requires a code for some reason. that's too much work for the casual listener. haven't cultivated a fanbase to give a shit. i wanted to create some nexus / portal of alternate takes around "official" tracks to surround it with a creative aura.
liquid guitars makes me wanna skinny-dipping to no water on sight. bit lacking structurally, that's to be expected from a demo. sounds good so far.
If theres any nine inch nails fans out there can you give me some feedback on my remix please I don't know how I feel about it. I feel like it should be better some how youtu.be/0JuTJLNvglk
use compressors, ditch the clipping man. this could go somewhere, but you just need to work on repetition / variation to keep things fresh and interesting
shit needs to be more textured, right now everything feels very clean and sterile. little bit of distortion and reverb will go a long way, just a little bit, do it tastefully.
i like the diffuse nature of it, very interesting stereo image, but you could go a lot of places with this that you're not going. some more space would be nice.
You'll like my song "Ay YOo!" Finish setting up your account Put some effort into your posts The problem I have with 99% of "musicians" who sample other people's work is LONGG. The big thing is with these digital sound sampling devices, back in the day my sh!t was ANALOG bro, do you even know what analog means? Whatever, anyway these digital systems are, we are told, music mimics par excellence, able to render the whole orchestral panoply, plus all that grunts, or squeaks. The noun "sample" is, in our comodified culture,pre-fixed by the adjective free, FREE. as in STEALING. So now you're lying about being an artist and if one is to consider predicating this subject, perhaps some thinking aloud on what is not allowable auditory appropriation is to be heard. Some of you, current and potential samplerists are confused, I KNOW you're confused, and it's about the extent to which you can legally borrow from the ingredients of other people's sonic manifestations. Is a musical property properly private, and when and how does one trespass upon it? Like myself, you may covet something similar to a particular chord played and recorded singularly well by the strings of the estimable Eastman Rochester Orchestra on a long-deleted Mercury Living Presence LP of Charles Ives' Symphony #3 and you're thinking "Oh no, welp here's another song down the DRAIN". You need to experiment more. Boost your bass. You really need to. Basic. Not avant garde. Also, finish setting up your account you amateur You'll enjoy my "Ay YOo!" song too Learn about dynamics and velocity This needs more phasers to be psychedelic Not dark enough you need to learn to put more effort into this.

I appreciate the fact that you took some time to give me a lengthy feedback, but it seems like you got a lot of things wrong. I don't think you could recognize any of the drum samples used, except for the snare one cause everybody uses this one. all the others are from splice drum packs, so i doubt you've ever heard em. for the sample, I put some piano chords and strings with, then reversed the piano and strings and added background layer, so I don't understand what you mean when you said it was "recorded to a 15ips tape machine with a live band going straight through a console". like, you could not be more wrong about this lol. still, thank you for the feedback. getting lots of perspectives is always important
I will return any love on your preferred platform, and I'll follow/subscribe if I really like your music.
>>Tech House >>Aggressive?
Cool fusion of heavy guitars and and synthy cyberpunk stuff. The drums are greatly mixed.
It is pretty close to shoegaze, just add a noise machine and droning vocals. And slightly de-prog it. It was interesting, but maybe get some fuller synths and better title?
I like it. The instrumentation and vocals + mixing is great. Personally I don't really follow the song arrangement, and the vocalist could try to hit a higher note at 2:10 and in general. This is nitpicking though it sounds like cotton candy in my ears keep it up.
