itcock

Haven't listened to In Rainbows. Velvet Underground & Nico is a complete meme album, so is In The Court of the Crimson King.

Super album

Not that into Radiohead myself but it is a great album

My least favourite pre St. Anger album

>meme album
extremely incorrect

>Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp A Butterfly
i've heard multiple Kendrick songs and i've heard enough to know I would hate the fuck out of a whole Kendrick album, hate his voice so much. Have no desire to listen to it. Besides I've found I'm really picky about my rap music, I almost exclusively listen to NWA and Deltron 3030 when it comes to that

Only heard from The Bends to Amnesiac.

this is the only one in the top 40 i havent rated because i have never been able to get through it.

Animals
how is Unknown Pleasures that high?

I'll probably never listen to it due to the memes on Yea Forums

I would read the lyrics while listening to it, for me the lyrics are the best part but I can't understand what he's saying unless they're right in front of me. Tbh Kid A is a degrade lyrically but is the lyrics of OKC have the same feeling as the instrumentals on Kid A and they're just as great

maybe I should listen to the cure
>the top 20 is all radiohead, pink floyd, and kendrick
fucking kek

I haven't listened to it either because I wasn't really into good kid mad city

is a RYM the exact demographic of reddit? why the fuck are that the highest ranked hiphopalbums of all time?

>Kid A

>Nas - Illmatic

I think I'll skip this one, I really don't like hip-hop unless production is on point like in Atrocity in Exhibition or To Pimp a Butterfly. Listening to someone rap over the same sample over and over again is not entertaining to me at all.

>DJ Shadow - Endtroducing...

ok fine I'll give this a try.

it’s great man well worth your time

if you consider yourself a hip hop fan, it's worth giving illmatic a try

>Besides I've found I'm really picky about my rap music, I almost exclusively listen to NWA and Deltron 3030 when it comes to that
extraordinarily based taste

this is their best album

i'm not by any means. that's why I said I want my production to be as on point as possible. the only hip-hop artists that I really enjoy are kendrick, danny brown, aesop rock, run the jewels, and the beastie boys.

Velvet Underground & Nico
>heheh it's good because it's very old and he's dead now
Fuck off. His solo stuff is alright but this... it's snooze core.

I was listening to that album yesterday and was surprised on how well it holds up to this day (according to me anyways). Some of the best lyrics in a rock album in my opinion. The really rough recording and the noise really complements them well.

cringe

haven't heard DSOTM yet, idk when i will i'm just straight up lazy

i’m always surprised to find people who didn’t go thru a pink floyd phase when they were 16

>it's snooze core
have you even listened to the fucking album?

Have you listened to the first two? Love Supreme lives up to the hype, Black Saint is incredible. As for Bitches Brew, unless you're quite into jazz and have listened to a lot you probably won't get it. I didn't on the first two listens.

Great album.

How the fuck have you not listen to these albums? They're literally available everywhere to listen. Are you guys just retarded?

I gave a couple of tracks another listen, and I think I get it now. There are still bits I don't like (violin sounds awful at certain parts of "Venus") but I can hear where later bands got a lot of ideas. So I was wrong about it, it must have been pretty mindblowing when it came out.

Honestly cringe. The production on Illmatic is fantastic and was very influential, although it does sound dated due to it being a quarter of a century old. What Kendrick does would be impossible without Illmatic, you should listen to it for that reason alone really.

>taking pride in listening to every album normie morons with no taste tell him to
Not everyone has time to comb the RYM charts and 70+ years of music history to listen to every single influential album you mong, there'll always be spots in your knowledge unless you're a NEET who just listens to RYM and Fantano recommendations every day

I'm not even mad that you took my (You)s. Whatever, I wasn't going to reply anyway

>Not everyone has time to comb the RYM charts
OP just said rateyourmusic's top albums. Almost every album here has been from the top 100. There's literally no excuse unless you're retarded.
