I don't understand the appeal of this guy. His songs are boring and generic.

His songs are pretty catchy, even if you don't like him that much he probably has one song you like
Basically the male Billie Eilish but a bit more commited to looking edgy
feel the same way. hes so fucking overhyped. ive never enjoyed one of his songs
I doubt anyone who’s even a tiny bit emotionally invested in music, listens to this (except for critics ‘cause they have to jump at anything that’s remotely popular)
nepotism
Imagine how stupid and narrow your worldview must be to actually think this
His music is generic and catchy, which appeals to the lowest common denominator. Same reason McDonald’s is popular
sounds like you totally understand the appeal of this guy
no, you're talking economic strategies
Hating popular things doesn't make you interesting
>If you're looking for lyrics, if you're looking to cry, if you're looking to think about life, don't listen to hip-hop...'
>"whenever I want to sit down and have a nice cry, I'll listen to some Bob Dylan."
>>makes hip hop
>>hates hip hop
I agree. To assume that an artist with a relatively small discography that has achieved mainstream success has a song that everybody will like is an incredibly ignorant. Your rebuttal had nothing to do with my nor the original post.
Yeah Just that He acts Zero edgy at all but Nice try
Really catchy songs, party and club staples. I dunno, I like Post but I could never make it through an album by the guy. Just braindead music for normies, don't overthink it.
I honestly think he has a pleasant voice even though he looks disgusting
>el abominacion del los Americanos
How to play music for normies without taking risks of offending any of their tastes: The musician
Last night was one of the best pperformances I've ever seen. He's fucking mesmerizing.
I agree and don't willingly ever listen to his music
i've caught some videos of him on social media where he's singing and he seems like a decent musician but instead does this for money and i really cannot blame him
if i knew how to sell out i would
but i like generic
ok?
omg thats such a coincidence.
did you figure that out yourself big boy?
proud of you
Imagine taking something that literal
im capable of hearing a catchy pop song on the radio and thinking this is pretty catchy and kinda good. ive never felt this way towards a song by post malone. His music sucks, especially when hes trying to rap like a black person biting their slang or whatever, its so forced. also his "emotional" tracks are annoying as fuck, dudes an absolute con and i feel like people who say hes authentic, have been absolutely bamboozled
White people
The Ed Sheeran of 2010's hip-hop.
WEN I SARRED BAWWEG I WUS YUUUUNG
I couldn’t agree more
he's still better than the rest of the top 40 but still ass
I'd take him over taylor swift or billie or ed sheeran
this just shows the absolute state of hiphop or just mainstream pop in general, where the genre has such low standards in what is considered quality, someone like post malone is passable as an artist. its kind of crazy to think the beatles were mainstream music, or the doors, or even fucking bruce springsteen. I know there was shit music then too but it didnt dominate the charts like it does today, i feel like technology has a big part in that. Contrary to past decades todays music is not for music lovers
You don't have to go by the charts or radio that's a drone mentality cultivate your own taste with the internet. I can find music from any era or uploaded by some dick in his basement instead of what the industry shoves in my face.
99% of people won't do that
There was a time where jocks and cheerleaders liked metal, post punk, and grunge. That's not happening now.
white women.
/thread
I enjoy his music but like him more as a person
