the 2nd law is their 2nd best album
absolution is their worst
if you call me a contrarian i accept your concession
Absolution > Origin of symmetry > BHaR > Resistance > Drones > Showbiz > Simulation theory > 2nd law
This is objective
brainlet
switch absolution with oos and showbiz with resistance
OoS>Absolution>BHaR>Showbiz>Resistance>Drones>Simulation Theory> 2nd Law
FTFY
dubs of truth
When your music album cover rips off an Ubisoft game, you know you messed up
I'd put 2nd law maybe even before BHaR
Absolution = OoS > BHaR > Showbiz
forget the rest, and end the discussion there. Muse died a long time ago
haven't listened to it in a while but absolution seems a little overrated to me, it's alright but way more generic than all of their other good albums, I'd say it's something like OoS > Showbiz = BHaR > Absolution
This.
Oos > Showbiz >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Absolution > The Resistance > BHaR > the rest, fuck knows, I barely remember them.
Bands going pop is the worst fucking thing that can happen.
OoS > Absolution > BHaR > Showbiz >> Resistance > 2nd Law > Drones > Simulation Theory
That’s such a generic 80s cover and cliche they didn’t rip off farcry you retard
Handling ageing and parenthood badly as an artist
A good contrast is Suede; when they came back from their hiatus Brett Anderson knew he was too old to do the gothic androgynous twink schtick singing about sleazy drug-fuelled parties and bisexual love triangles, but, probably because they'd learnt their lesson from trying to attempt a cheerier sound on A New Morning and getting blasted for it, he used being a parent to right a couple of albums' worth of material about the terror and existential angst of becoming a parent and the constant fear of accidentally fucking up your kid, or worse hurting them/losing them in a freak accident, and have subsequently had the best comeback of any of the main britpop bands
Another one is the UK indie band Field Music, who started off as a relatively austere, buttoned-up prog-pop group, had kids, and used their newfound emotional maturity to explore funkier and less self-serious aspects of the genre, closer to XTC and Steely Dan
Bands can go one of two ways when the members start to have kids, Coldplay and Muse went the wrong way
>indie band with a keyboardist and a guitarist
>guitarist leaves
>frontman suggests they might go full synthpop now they don't have a guitarist
>instead keyboardist learns guitar AND they hire another secondary lead guitarist and they go more rock-oriented than ever before to spite their old band member, who they didn't get on with

feels good given current music trends
Looks like you're retarded kid
embarrassing post
after all it was okay
too bad you brainlets don't accept change
there's a difference between accepting change and accepting a dramatic drop in quality
