We will never hear what Smile would sound like exactly if it had been released in 1967 (aside from approximations)

Are these what feels guy came from?

Fucking hell, how old are you?
Yes!
But that question makes me feel old.

no

Yeah.
I’ve never really studied it, but they have to be pretty close to the original conception, especially compared to the Smile eventual release.
I have a couple of put together Smiles from various outtakes and releases, amd believe them to be fairly true to the vision.
The big question is... where would the Beatles have gone next? Probably not too far from where they did, but it’s an interesting question.

Nostalgia and pepe and wojak being shit memes

Abbey Road and the White Album were pretty good albums to settle for

We should be happy we ended up being born in a timeline where the Beatles even existed. We just weren’t quite lucky enough to hear their follow up to SMiLE.

Yea Forums contrarian plebs probably would’ve hated it in that timeline anyway

Yeah, this pretty much.

And this absolutely.
Fucking /mu - the site you always want to be so much better than the stranglewank 95% of posters make it

The Beach Lads kept making music at least, though I don't know how much you can say Smiley Smile, Wild Honey, or Sunflower influenced what the Beatles were doing. The Beach Boys kind of dropped off the radar after the collapse of Smile, they were considered squares and posers thanks to hipsters like Jann Wenner and their shit magazines

>they were considered squares
they were tho

DON'T FUCK WITH THE FORMULA
