So what album is that on the right then?
Lucas Cook
>Why would I share this artist that I like? Its obscure so I can impress the hipster chicks with it, I do not want them to gain any traction for my own ego
Thanks for the help there OP, I did some digging of my own and found that this is Come In by Weatherday. I'll listen to it after I finish this album I'm on and get back to you on whether its actually better or if you're a twat.
Jayden Ross
Come In sounds nothing like Twin Fantasy, it is far more layered and musically interesting, also its lyrics aren't plainly in your face, trying to appease to trannies or homos. Where do people hear the "LGBT" shit in the Weatherday's album?
Weatherday - Come In
Grayson Bailey
I don't see how making an album about a gay relationship is pandering. Its an experience that William went through, and is a very interesting album with unique ideas.
Cameron Torres
>I don't see how making an album about a gay relationship is pandering
I'll give you that one.
>and is a very interesting album with unique ideas.
I don't know, it's musically efficient, but I don't like how people act like it is unique, or interesting. It doesn't break new ground, don't get me wrong, it doesn't have to, but people keep pretending as if it did.
Joshua Price
I don't know exactly how to express it, but the album has some really creative ideas, just listen to Famous Prophets. He does this thing throughout the album where he calls back to previous lyrics and themes tastefully, while adapting them for new themes of each song. He ignores most forms of typical song structure with really cool instrumental and vocal layers. The lyrics themselves are well thought out and complement the instrumentation. This is probably my favorite rock album of the decade, its great.
Henry Anderson
>He does this thing throughout the album where he calls back to previous lyrics and themes tastefully, while adapting them for new themes of each song.
Yes, it's a concept album, this is what concept album do.
Carson Gonzalez
No not necessarily, I disagree. Calling back and reusing lyrics isn't inherent within concept albums, and I can't think of any concept albums that do it in the fashion of Twin Fantasy. Any recs?
Hudson Long
Pretty boring album honestly. My Sputnik Sweetheart was great though. Don't know why he kept on talking about porcelain.
Andrew Anderson
>what is a motif
Kayden Stewart
Exactly. Thank you
John Williams
Do you prefer the original or Face to Face? I assume the original, so what do you dislike about Face to Face?
Josiah Gonzalez
No no, I prefer Face to Face. The original is what put him on the map and was really ambitious, but the vocals and instrumentation are nothing when compared to the reworked, non-lofi version. Honestly, I don't like the vocal on the original at all. Face to Face is a cleaned up, more presentable, and more fully realized version of Mirror to Mirror. Honestly, I appreciate Mirror to Mirror, but I've only listened to it twice now and consider Face to Face to be the better listening experience by far.
Evan Parker
I agree. I asked because I personally didn't really like the original but love Face to Face. Thanks
Angel Rogers
What makes TF so striking to me is how sincere it is, like Will has nothing to hide. It’s very refreshing with all the shit we’ve got today.
Nathan Cox
seems like a pretty pointless motif to me. a bit forced, no?
Xavier Martin
Nothing will ever top the transition in Sober to Death so nice try
Ayden Edwards
no
Connor Morgan
twin fantasy is great and unique
this just sounds like a gay version of this EP, which still makes it really good. just not as good as twin fantasy
Mason Young
Its not just a feature of concept albums, its a feature of albums in general.
Take MBDTF by kanye, Back from discomfort we're okay by TBLA, Think Peace by clarance Clarity even fucking wish you were here and sgt.peppers.
Brayden Hughes
this is sad. you are sad.
Kayden Edwards
which lyrics were called back and re-used in mbdtf?
Kevin Walker
shitty ass weatherday is garbage
Evan Rogers
Parker Bailey
The Downard Spiral has a mottif that re-appears and also a phrase that keeps re-appearing, The Fragile does the same thing, Year Zero has its motiff too.
The Wall does this too.
Benjamin Long
OP is a fag with bad taste.

Colton Taylor
Come In isn't really similar to Twin Fantasy whatsoever aside from the lo-fi bedroom pop sound.
It's MUCH more similar to Nouns - Still Bummed and Shinsei Kamattechan, the latter of which Weatherday is a huge fan of.
Kayden Moore
I'd also rather Come In stand on its own merit rather than supposed influences or paralells to other unrelated works because it's a great album and Twin Fantasy is garbage
Connor Wood
arent they both about queer relationships? and have lgbtq themes? havent listened to weatherday enough to make out much of the lyrical themes but ive seen it tagged and grouped with other lgbt things
Jose Gonzalez
Just listened to Come In, it was great. Thanks OP.
Christopher Sanchez
type of thing i probably would have liked when i was 16 but sounds cringe now. well done but too tied to a sort of teenage sentimentality and aesthetic that its difficult to take seriously as someone in my 20s.
Kayden Murphy
I can't see the comparison to 2011 TF in terms of the sound/style of singing, but if the only thing people connect with Twin Fantasy for is the fact that Will talks about LGBT problems then yeah this is pretty similar.
David Bailey
the person behind weatherday is trans right or nonbinary?
Charles Wright
pretty sure a mtf
Parker Walker
cool. couldnt find much social media presence and am not gonna try hard to look cause if its not easy to find she probably doesnt want it super public.
Jaxon Baker
fuck. i was liking the music too...
