The Doors are really popular though

You mean pleb-containment.

What I mean is - if you hate on the Doors, your taste becomes AUTOMATICALLY *shit*
Like, no matter what else you even like - it's shit for eternity, with no hopes for change

Examples? Christgau. He has a shit taste
Examples? Scaruffi. He loves the Doors. Good taste

Plebeians only listen to a relatively small selection of their discography tho. And most of that is their most basic shit

what are their most pleb tracks and what are their most sophisticated tracks?

>"I WANNA BE WANNA BE WANNA BE JIM MORRISON!!"

Except the stuff they don't listen to is also hot garbage (Soft Parade, Morrison Hotel, etc)

this. jim morrison was a poseur faggot.

Why is the Doors hated on Yea Forums?
it makes me sad :(

pleb = love her madly, break on through, etc
patrician = when the music's over

i dont see a difference, all are solid songs, love her madly maybe a bit worse but still good

pleb - Hello I Love You
patrician - Love Street

Finally someone I can agree with. Love Street is amazing.

pleb: Riders On The Storm
patrician: L' America

that's just a false dichotomy, riders on the storm is much more patrician than the (very patrician in and of itself) lamerica

Pleb: Radhouse Blues,
Patrician: Peace Frog

If it's on a compilation it's a pleb track. Except Alabama Song.

Alabama Song is on their debut

Compilation is an album for normies that contains a compilation of songs from actual albums, usually the most popular ones.

>If it's on a compilation it's a pleb track
>this is what Yea Forums contrarians actually believe
Sure, sure. Those 30 absolutely great songs on "the very best..." are pleb tier and the shitty b-sides are the true patrician tracks, sure

Yes but the pleb filter for The Doors is filtering out pseuds

Pseuds will shun The Doors for their popularity while authentic patricians will realize their importance.

Summertime and the live performance of When the Music's over at the Isle of Wight festival are my personal favourites :^)

Pleb tracks are probably L.A. Woman, Riders on the Storm and Light my Fire because they're popular, but they're good nevertheless

Of COURSE they are great tracks, that's why they were popular and are on a compilation. What on earth makes you think everything else is a shitty b-side? Christ.

Based and Scaruffipilled.

The Doors actually used to be considered on the same tier as TVU by punk/post-punk guys in the 70s and 80s. They were cited as an important influence by Joy Division, Siouxsie, The Cure etc. and Ray Manzarek produced the first X album. It wasn't until the Val Kilmer movie came out that people started to consider them embarrassing dadrock due to it making Morrison's buffoonishness better known in the pre-internet days.

Morrison was a pseud shithead but you can't deny he and the others made some good ass music. I would consider them on the same tier as TVU.

The Doors and TVU are the two greatest American bands

zoomies get reminded of their white trash dads beating them

TVU is kid's play compared to Lou Reed.

*John Cale

Morrison was basically a troll but his band made some good music

What is his best song?

THE END

this is a scary dude, he literally looks like a crazed axe murderer... that said, their songs are fucking killer.

roadhouse blues is their best though

Only a few songs are.

>his best song
Yeah no he didn't write shit except LOL DEEP lyrics while the real band played and improvised for 10 straight minutes

Why do their albums without him suck?

What of Spanish Caravan?
