Can we at least agree they were the tightest live band of their time?

Are you retarded?
me like tame impala
Yeah you’re retarded
I mean, no. The Rooftop performances show that they were still surprisingly well put together and tight for being so out of practice as live performers, but it was still in a relatively controlled, studio like environment. Just seems unfair to compare that to what bands like The Who or Led Zeppelin were capable of then.
I think you can make the argument that they COULD have been one of the tightest live bands of their time but the comically hysterical audiences they were playing to really prevented them from further developing. They made their name as a live act and you can see that energy and passion in some of their earlier performances:

But still I don't think it's enough to hail them as one of the best of their era, as far as live shows go.
They still probably are overall the greatest band of the 20th century and scaruffi is an faggit.
>tight
>play it like studio version
You dont know what tight means. These are trained monkeys doing a play.
That article is dumb shit from a senile old man. Paul is an objectively great bass player.
It's not that hard to play on beat
Haha no
that doesn't even make any sense.
picking one band for that title is the 60's is literally impossible, with the amount of drugs going around you could hardly pick any band (of the ones innovating at least) that was consistent every night. Better off singling out individual performances.
no lmao. they did multiple takes of each song for the rooftop performance.
who the FUCK is that black keyboard player?! He has a huge presence on this track, is he the legendary hidden SIXTH beatle?
me dummy
It was probably Billy Preston. He worked with the band pretty regularly, and some have called him the fifth Beatle.
>tightest live band of their time?
you are joking right?

HAHAHHHAHAHAHHAHHAHHHA
AHAHHAHHAHHAHHHAHAHAH
Wrong.
Not sure "tight" is an inherently good thing for live performances, but yeah they were quite tight
