Literally every other album he made is better. The mainstream just caught up to him so the critics had to grant him his belated "masterpiece." And you fell for it. Funny.

Go listen to EARL or Doris, or IDLSIDGO. Personally, Earl is my favourite. Underrated masterpiece.

You should listen to Medslaus. Comparing them directly is a bit of an overstep, but they're vaguely in the same space and Medslaus are far more competent at this kind of thing. I appreciate Earl trying to go in this direction, but it just doesn't play to his strengths.

before it came out, pretty much no, but this guy MIKE released a mixtape called Tears of Joy that doesn't try to hide being a straight ripoff off Some Rap Songs. I love it, I think you will too.

Also, really listen to this guy , Earl's other stuff is definitely worth checking out.

I think Earl has yet to come with his definitive masterpiece. Doris had too much filler, IDLSIDGO falls apart on the second half and SRS is not too daring.

IDLSIDGO is better but this albums interesting

Why is it so hard for rappers to nail the atmosphere and execution of lo-fi? It's so easy but other than Carti and Earl all lo-fi sounds like garbage.
