shit but at least not worst than Felony or Eternal Enemies
Why wouldn’t you just write your own song in earnest instead of recording something ironically
But I did write it tho
I was trying to be as bad as felony :/
Also, I write tons of my own songs, but nobody likes a shill. the people don't want music OC. they want covers n' memes
Sounds like you can’t good original music lol
redpill on Emmure lads
Post something original then and I'll check it out
Ehh you probably ain't wrong. I've got maybe three or four that are objectively good if you like heavy music. That's about it.
>super heavy and unique in 2007
>mixed stupid 0-0-0-1-0 breakdowns with melodic guitar riffs
>completely jumped the fucking shark with Felony
>dumb try hard druggie wigger on the mic that likes aliens and getting zapped
>all talented members of band leave
>3 or 4 albums of pure filler that wouldn't take 10 minutes to think up
>somewhat redeemed themselves when they recently got Josh Travis of Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza in guitar
sure here's my rating out of all their albums
1. Slave to the Game
2. Goodbye to the Gallows
3. Speaker of the Dead
4. shit
5. The Respect Issue
6. Look at Yourself
7. dogshit
8. horseshit
9. a homeless man diarrhea
10. Felony
11. hurtcore videos
12. castration without anesthesia
13. my newborn son being brutally raped
14. my girlfriend having sex with my dad
15. Eternal Enemies
keep in mind that none of their albums is actually good
scroll till you see something that isn't a cover lol, I'm phoneposting rn
soundcloud.com/kill-everyone
I've been working on some alt-pop music, but that's a lot more nerve wracking to post on here cause people either tear it apart or steal it
>>super heavy and unique in 2007
but user, at that time deatchore was already a thing and Whitechapel and Suicide Silence make it something redeemable
Emmure was just your typical edgelord Meshuggah wannabe
>slave to the game better than needlework and gallows
You must be high.
But slave to the game was pretty good. Funny, frankie hates that album. I thought it was half decent. Way better than felony.
>goodbye to the gallows
>the complete guide to needlework
>the respect issue
>tie between speaker of the dead and slave to the game
>old emmure demos from 06
>lookatyourself
>felony
>eternal enemies
>Goodbye to the Gallows was just a lite version of Meshuggah that somehow was even edgier
>The Respect Issue just take the most generic side out of Djent
>Felony is so bad that at moments fall in the "so bad it's good" category
>Speaker of the Dead has the luck of being better than Felony (although almost every album is better than Felony)
>Slave to the Game is probably the only time they tried to sound good (even if it's still bad)
>Eternal Enemies is actually worse than Felony (yeah it's that bad)
>every member left because Frankie was an asshole
>Look at Yourself is just another generic djent/deathcore album that has the luck of being better than Felony and Eternal Enemies
I'm aware that there were other more talented bands, but Whitechaoel and suicide silence at the time NEVER incorporated melodic elements into their music. It was all chugs and blast beats.
Plus meshuggah fucking blows. Decent instrumental, but I've always hated the vocalist. Sounds like shit and always has.
Make thrash metal instead it
oh yeah i forgot their EP
might be number one tho
>frankie hates that album
even the biggest hack in the history of metal hates the only thing that kind of redeemed his entire career, jeez
Thrash metal? Lol I can't understand how some people are unironically still into that shit. It died in like 87. That's the psychedelic rock of metal genres. Nobody wants it to come back except a small group of friggin weirdos with bad taste.
>hates thrash metal but thinks Emmure is okay
"Okay" being the very operative word.
Don't get me wrong, I dig bands with thrash elements. But pure thrash will always remind me of the old Tyrant Sin demos
Morbid angel is my shit, They do a good bit of thrashy material I guess
>Thrash died in 87
Are you retarded?
>Metallica - ...And Justice for All (1988)
>Annihilator - Alice in Hell (1989)
>Megadeth - Rust in Peace (1990)
>Sodom - M-16 (2001)
>Evile - Enter The Grave (2007)
>Havok - Time is Up (2011)
All off of the top of my head
AJFA was metallica's last great album, so I'll concede to '88
The rest are hot garbage trying to cling on to a genre that's gone the way of the dodo. It was mainstream for like 3-4 years in the late 80s. It's done. It's over. Its been three decades and change.
Have you even heard any thrash albums post justice?
at least it's better than unironically writing nothing like what I'm doing
>Rust in Peace
>garbage
get out of this board right now
That's actually kind of a nice compliment coming from Yea Forums
Peace Sells is definitive and you can't even argue that
I bought Gnarkill's Handicap Handjob opening day, so...
