I don't understand the relation between growing and music, it's kinda stupid because you are not in that case listening to music because of the good melody but because you are on the edge and need something for that. There are specific genre of music that function exactly for this, see trap, bland pop, angsty metal for example, they are the type of music bitter teens consume the most.
