There are some middle east bands that openly criticize islam. Christianity is an easy target, for sure, but that doesn't mean people can't be genuine about being opposed to it due to being affected on a personal level.
It's not limited to religion, whenever something is oppressing the people you can expect artists criticizing whatever that is.
