ETIQUETTE - Include correct format (artist / band, title of release, year of release, cover art, the file type (v0, 320 mp3, FLAC, etc), short description, YouTube sample, link) - Send thanks if you have downloaded something to let them know they did a good thing - Avoid sharing / requesting things that are already on the archive - Soulseek / rutracker are your friends, too - just don't argue in this thread about it - No samples on YouTube, Soundcloud? Drag'n'drop any mp3 on clyp.it
REQUESTS >I have a request! Did I... - Check the archive for a live link before requesting? - Share something first? - Google "blogspot + artist name + album name"
ARCHIVE >"I don't know how to find what I'm looking for in the archive" - Go here: >>>archive.rebeccablacktech.com/mu/ - When searching, limit your search to links only, like so: "desired album mega|zippyshare|mediafire" - Make sure you've typed "zippyshare" and not "zippy", or else Zippyshare links will not be found.
Strafe Fur Rebellion - The Bird Was Stolen >electroacustic, industrial, noise >composed of found sounds and prepared instruments. they take a somewhat academic approach to industrial music
Master/Slave Relationship - Bed of Perverse Dreams (1987) >industrial >relatively conventional by the standards of the genre. this album is full of drones, synth melodies and aggressive drum machines. explicitly sexual lyrics
Master/Slave Relationship - Blue Faced Lust (1985) >industrial >the first M/SR album in which she is responsible for all instruments. synths, drum machines, sexual lyrics
Koreisch - This Decaying Schizophrenic Christ Complex >noisecore, powerviolence, industrial, noise >intense album. most of it has a backbone of extreme punk/metal ornamented with noise but some tracks stray towards fully industrial/noise
anyone have AUGUSTA by technoself aka deantoni parks??
Jeremiah Long
神聖かまってちゃん [Shinsei Kamattechan] - 楽しいね [Tanoshii ne by Shinsei Kamattechan] (2012) [MP3 320] >japanese noise pop >posting this again cause my last link was to dumbass mediafire and not in a share thread
Ice - Under the Skin >industrial, dub, hip hop >all of these guys were in god at one point and both members of techno animal are in this. it sounds a lot like god >droney industrial dub soundscapes with some hip hop inspired beats. shouted obscured vocals and industrial metal guitars make frequent appearances
just repping this album because I fucking love it anything with Kevin Martin and Justin Broaderick is worth hearing
Jeremiah Thompson
Jakokoyak - Aerophlot (2010) >Trip Hop >Very Gorillaz S/T influenced, even in the sample included you can hear an almost verbatim melody from Clint Eastwood >still worth checking out even if it's drowning in its influences
anyone else having that bug in archive.rebeccablacktech.com/mu/ where you can only type in the search bar if you're holding it down/clicked? is there a solution for this because its becoming very irritating and i havent always had this issue
Lincoln Gray
Avril Lavigne - Under My Skin (2004) [256] >Pop Rock >password:homebronco
yes, they're "back" to their old style (it's safe tho)
Adrian Stewart
cool beans. i mean i'm usually into everything they do, i just couldn't get into that one album, but it does make sense, they always do one weird one and then one 'classic' one
Logan Howard
Grinderman - Grinderman (2007) [320] >alt rock, garage rock, blues rock >nick cave side project
The archive: I used to use it regularly - but when I click to access the search window it only stays up as long as I hold my click. Its unusable. Has been months now. Thought it didn't like my VPN - but that's not it.
I know I saw someone with same problem on a sharethreadweeks ago. Please help - what stupid fix am I overlooking??
Jose Campbell
I read something about right-clicking it at some point
Gavin Walker
You are the man. I don't know why that worked, but it did. I had to do it a few times before it worked. Thanks user.
Carson Lee
hey man I just work here
Jace Sanders
This is a really great one-time listen
Andrew Garcia
Anyone got the new Mattiel album?
Jonathan Powell
bump
Jonathan Watson
i have the same problem but i found that if you manage to click on the search bar right as the page loads (before it's completely loaded), you'll at least be able to type without holding down on it. it's annoying but at least it's someting. i think it's just something wrong with the site itself
Hunter Wilson
Redacted.ch, the official unofficial what.cd replacement
Isaiah Jones
It's ie the best source for music available right now.
Noah Phillips
looking for Paradise Valley by Grouper
Caleb Butler
I don't know how to get in
Juan Davis
Moddi - Kaem Va Du (2013) [320] >Norwegian neofolk, singer songwritery stuff >Brilliant music to stare out a train window to
Lol I assumed it was some kind of deep shilling for Youtube Red
Liam Myers
Do a google for Redacted interview, it's easy as fuck, just know what lossy and lossless formats are and know that you can't transcode a lossy to lossless or lossy to lossy and you're fine
Aiden Wood
It's basically the same as the old what.cd interview, right?
Christopher Hill
Yeah, only real difference between the two sites is red is more lenient on ratio requirements and favours freeleech tokens in place of staff pick or site wide freeleechs
Austin Allen
what is this, 2016? it's 'youtube premium' now
Parker Kelly
don't you have to explain WHY though? i can do that for the most part, but not using proper technical terms. also, isn't there a whole spectrograph analysis component?
Jason Martin
Not in my interview, the most technical it got was having to rank formats in order of compression i.e. 24bit wav > flac > 320 cbr > v0 vbr >192 cbr
Adam Walker
But you guys told me flac was best
William Cox
WAVs aren't even on the site they're far to big
Adam Campbell
such a buzzkill, i thought these were bandcamp rips
Carson Scott
Highly recommending this, one of my AOTYs for 2018 for sure. Really fun summer-core.
Samuel Smith
FLAC is a meme unless you've got really high end audio equipment, which 90% of people on Yea Forums don't have
FLAC is lossless, as is wav. It's just compressed resulting in much smaller filesizes for the exact same audio. It's not worse than WAV. It's important for archives too. It maintains the original CD's audio with no loss at all, unlike lossy transcodes. interviewfor.red or look for an invite if you're a lazy redneck
Teisutis Makačinas - Disko Muzika(1982)(WAW)\ >disco, electro, one of my favorite lithuanian albums of all time, similar to argo, shared previously in this thread
Yasuaki Shimizu – Kakashi(1982)[FLAC] >japanese electronic jazz, fusion,a bit of ambient, youtube reccomendations-core, see it sometimes mentioned on Yea Forums
Anyone have Violin Music of the Modern Aztecs? All archive links are long dead.
Robert Harris
Aztecs didn’t have violins
Xavier Sanders
I've never had this problem with the archive. Maybe because I bookmarked it with the search field already filled in with something?
Hunter Flores
What does that have to do with it?
Owen Price
I think it has to do with the fact that I'm using an ad blocker, because when I disable it (which I don't recommend) it works normally
Christopher Garcia
how do you expect an archive to survive if you don't support it???
Hudson Sanders
Looking for Khruangbin - Hasta El Cielo
Evan Thomas
It's not the fact that they're using ads, it's that whenever I do visit, I get pop up ads, if it were just banner ads, I wouldn't care, but that shit straight up annoys me.
Evan Young
r/wosh cringe normie
Brandon Perez
does anybody have the curtains - calamity in 320/flac? thanks in advance, frens
