Literally the worst sounding Radiohead album.
Godrich is losing his hearing.
October Rust
Honestly you're thick if you think this
I don't even like the album but it sounds fucking great
>tfw his best track is exclusively for a video game
youtube.com
also new album when?
I love this album so much
i cum to running out of time every time i listen to it
Nice 4uads
he's on a tour at the moment, he released a single earlier this year (i think??) and it's been about 4 years since his last record so hopefully soon
I ruuuuun to youuuuuu
Does anyone else think Radiohead becomes more boring the better they get at making records? Moon Shaped Pook and In Rainbows are both immaculate albums and as a result they sound completely bland and neutered IMO.
No, they're both fantastic records.
I actually really like the subtlety of both of them from a band that has never normally been subtle - although they're far from my favourite albums of there's I think they have some of the best moments
I fucking hate type 0 negative production.
Yes they are, but their perfection almost feels like a flaw. Even Pablo Honey sounds more interesting because the songs are more vulnerable and amateurish. I think I'm just being nitpicky and pretentious.
I should go back and listen to them all the way through more closely, Radiohead often has a lot of nuance that can be missed.
Great shout
We get it, you like lo-fi music.
Fight me
>Not exclusively listened to bootlegs recorded on a 4-track hidden under somebody's jacket
>dude lowpassed piano lmao
In Rainbows is Radiohead's least interesting release
*most
No no, that's Amnesiac.
Nice gets for nice picks
same. amazing production but not so good songwriting.
eh, it sounds very early 80s, they hadn't really hit their stride in the sound department yet (although the songwriting was already tip top). I'd say The Queen is Dead has better production.
For a debut, and in comparison to Hatful it's pretty top tier
I would agree that The Queen Is Dead is a lot more well produced, but it's kind of a Radiohead thing where it's not an interesting pick because "Of course it's well produced"
they had Eno produce it
I second this, its their peak then its all thrash
13 by Blur also because of William Orbit.
Agreed, along with Prospekt's March. Chinese Sleep Chant is probably their high water mark. I wish we had more of the unreleased material from that era and that Coldplay hadn't turned to poptimist trash immediately afterwards. Chris Martin must be a very sick man.
this
How about the first 3 Van Halen albums?
How about Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel?
It's a tough category. "Flawlessly produced" -- you almost can't have that unless the album itself is nearly flawless from the artist/music standpoint.
Imagine a piece of shit album that is produced brilliantly. It's possible, in theory, but to most humans, the shittiness of the music will overcome the production.
Bookends is a good choice, I wouldn't say it's technically perfect by today's standards but definitely for the time and from an artistic perspective. Synth bass line on Save The Life Of My Child is a fantastic touch well ahead of its time, for example.
it's literally the best one lmao
Get your head checked user
I got my head checked by a jumbo jet
Some of the best production in electronic music
oh is this an overproduced album thread?
This, but On the Beach
Woo hoo
Still the best KC album.
I was just about to post Blur's The Great Escape after being reminded of it by because I love the whole atmosphere of that album, artwork included, so I suppose so yes
>band is called king crimson
>album is called red
>cover is black and white
this annoys me more than it should
this desu senpai
especially the remastered version
Chris Coady has a gift. He’s the only reason Beach House and the new Slowdive sounds so pristine
IN THE CORRRNUH
>flawlessly produced
>still boring as hell to listen to
think he would mix my LP? some of those guys are actually pretty approachable. i have the $ so that wouldn't be an issue...
oh shit that guy did Pool as well? that album sounds fantastic for what it is desu
I doubt it. He’s one of the most highly sought after Producers in the game. Shit I’d love to work with him too if I could afford it
