You need to Learn how to boost your bass. I can help you out quite a bit if you ask, but for now what you need to focus on is Making great bass patches. to make a beginner bass, get a defult patch in Harmor, turn the low-pass on A to 10% and 0% on B, and then turn the Sub up on both A and B, next turn on some slight distortion and then EQ the sub in the mixer up all the way.
>spotify
To be honestah, spotify will destroy your career, or I should say your attempt at one before it even begins. Spotify's whole gameplan is to securely steal music from artists and then when that artist disappears they rebrand the music under a new name. Basically like what the industry did with Lady GaGa but now it's spotify doing it and no one knows.
Me
mix is a little muddy on this one, phaser effects and dj tags really distract from it not to mention the obnoxious harsh noise. the synths sound a little preset-y, and it sounds like you need some EQ's, unless you were going for a lo-fi thing? keep it up its always nice to see people try

Embarrassing. Throwing all theses words like "Lofi" and /or "Bedroom" infront of your genre isn't a safe way to avoid criticism. And it isn't some sort of indie tagline, I know you fake musicians THINK it is... but.. it's not. Real guys in the industry laugh all day long at "bedroom" and "lofi" musicians. You think any real musician walks into a studio and tells the production team he's looking for a "bedroom pop" feel? absolutely NOT! If there was a dummy that ever did that they'd be thrown outta there pronto. I know you've never dealt with real industry peeps like me, and you've never even set inside a legitimate studio like I have, so this is just a word of advice to a beginner like you. Grow up and make real music .
Me
Whats embarrassing is that you trying to swag your dick around like your track isn't just a piss weak mix of generic hot trash that's ham fisted together by a classic instance of a Dunning–Kruger incel.
For someone that claims to be in the industry, you should really get some pointers on how to produce out of apple loops and other artists stems huh.

I know my intellectual music is hard for your unevolved shrunken brain to comprehend.
When I need help "sampling" hip hop beats and calling them my own songs I'll contact you hahahaha
Sample based music is the language of modern music, A sample will already have it’s own disposition in whatever essence the original intended, the idea of sampling being to recycle a sound for new means of interpretation. Acting as a homage to its origin.... Sample based music slaps man, you don't know whats good haha
No LOL. You have a true creator do the hard work of creating the idea, and then you just take the idea and say "look what I did!"
Not quite - Sample based music is the citation and imitation that has always led to the way that music evolves.
It is certainly easier to sample a piece of music than it is to learn an instrument, in comparison it is easier to take a photograph than paint a picture. So what the photographer is to the painter is what the sampling producer is to the classic instrumentalist. both respected mediums but perhaps not by pleb like yourself

Wow you're extremely insecure about not being creative enough to come up with your own ideas. So insecure that you have to try and debate actual creators on this topic.
I'm bouta go get my dick wet. You should do the same. Ohhh wait you're alone in your bedroom at your parents house.
Let me know when your next shift at McDonalds is, I'll come laugh.
Your beats are a big generic and I recognize the Samples. the sample sounds like it was recorded to a 15ips tape machine with a live band going straight through a console, and the drums are coming from a drum machine, synth, or stock DAW drum samples, chances are the context won’t make sense, you should always focus on that crispy sound quality bro.
In my mind I’m thinking “ok, what can I do to make these drums sound better, like they BUMP to the sample, but still stick out and hit hard?” Bro... Think about it like this, it might mean you have to be processing to the sample, or processing to the drums, or both. And generally needssome experimentation to make it BOOM in the speaker. And also mmatching the space is super key. This isn’t easy, it takes a really ADVANCED ear like mine. But if you can train yourself to listen to the ambience in the sample and recreate that ambience around the drums, but don't get confused. You follow? Next turn up the EQ low end (bass) and ta-da you're better.

I’m normally a drummer and pianist so this is my first attempt at writing a punk song. The lyrics are entirely placeholder and I’m looking for feedback on the songwriting, singing and guitar playing (my weakest areas). I’ll post feedback in a separate post. I’d really appreciate some constructive criticism, I don’t normally write alone.
Feedback from What you’re doing is very unique. And to be totally honest I’m not sure if i “get it”, but that’s probably a good thing. The use of texture in the back half of dropped my dwank was really fucking cool, but it’s a little abstract for me. i fucked with no no no no a lot, but chickens really did it for me (I’m a noise fan so that’s probably why). Keep with what you’re doing, this shit is interesting. Maybe try vocals that aren’t pitch shifted?
Anti memory was too repetitive for me to get into. The more melodic stuff like white light is definitely more interesting to me.
Best song i know of about oedipus
Honestly, I'm not really sure what kind of music we are making. Me and two friends just meet up at my Dad's factory on Friday night and jam for hours then I sometimes cut out parts that are interesting. I guess if someone can categorize this it might be helpful? this is goofy but eminently likeable
Well, first of all that artwork is eye hurting, but your music is overall ... different. I like it because the way i listen to music is kinda different also, i really like to imagine a track in a visual setting, like a movie or a videogame.
I listened to your tracks, and they gave me an "interlude" kind of feel, like what you would hear while 2 characters are having a conversation. I would say that you could learn a lot if you heard soundtracks from videogames like hotline miami, specially the second one, it has really good "interlude" tracks, they don't build suspense but the maintain a constant pace that makes the interactions between characters flow in a more fluid way.
2 tracks that you may or may not like are:
"She meditates" and "Blizzard" made by Light Club, both songs are from Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number.

damn, that's a really dope beat. not a fan of the vocals, tho. you should try to be more aggressive when rapping. it's still a great track, tho
pure fire. I love the bassline. the more you listen to it, the more hypnotic it gets. If I were you, I would've added a counter melody, but maybe it's better if it stays minimalistic like that. I hear a big gessafelstein inspo, am I wrong?great sample, the lead rhoades is unnecessary, you should get rid of it. your rapping is a bit too slow. I know you're going for that biggie flow, but he had a deeper voice and more presence, and even by his standarts, that's really slow. you should use a higher bpm for this track imo
You are absolutely right, i listen to gessafelstein and get a lot of inspiration from him.
Thanks a lot for the feedback.
As for your beat, i like it, i'm not really a big fan of hip-hop, but i can see the beat being enjoyable with vocals, one thing i really like is the usage of little silences, they really add suspense and give the beat an eerie feel, really good work

I like the lyrics, vocals, melodies, and all the writing in general. Very well driven approach to songwriting to keep everything moving nicely. Not a fan of most of the production though. The guitar should be way more mellow and warm to blend better. The drums are really lacking too, the rhythms are good but the tones are really thin and fake sounding. The vocals generally sit in the mix well, I would have like to hear some doubling or harmonies though. I'd listen to more and would be down to be on a bill with this tho.
recc'd this before. Spacy, yet driven blend of lofi rock and electronic music. Very light production gives it a nice bedroom vibe, but remains coherent enough to be easily consumed. Hella creative, will be saving this one

I bounced around on a lot of your tracks, and it's giving me this really treansitionary perriod dubstep sound, like that time like JUST after Scary Monsters came out, when people were yearning for that aggro and maximalist sound, but before it became just sound design wars. There's a lot going on, sometimes not to its benefit, but Drippin is a highlight from what I combed through. Has that rolling 16Bit sound that just takes me back to days fresh out of high school, blasting youtube rips of Skizm and Excision from my blown speakers. Good times.
I'll be dead honest and say this didn't do much for me. It's been a hot minute since I had the patience to listen to IDM in an appreciative manner, and I caught myself fidgeting thru it a lot.
Looking at your other songs briefly, I find myself pausing and appreciating the more ambient songs over the percussive based ones. Would love to hear more of that stuff in comparison, but that's just me.
Ok I see you with that Pharrell-type lead in.
This has this reeeally wavy, lofi feel that really is the only way an unhinged beat like this could be presented in any way. For a first time at the wheel of an OP-1 jam, it's not bad. Little weak in the mix, and loses focus about half way through, but the vibe is there, and that's what's most important.
Alright, so you know how earlier I referenced 2010 with that dubstep track? yeah, this is like, 2008 and I'm on Myspace and BrokeNCYDE and Shiny Toy Guns are my life. Swear to god had I come across this a decade ago it'd be my everything. Now, at 4 am halfway through my 20s, it's a lot for me to process, but give me a Bang and put me on a convention floor? Oh baby I'll go apeshit to this stuff.
here, one last one real quick
Gave your track a listen, and it's frustrating. The sound design is great, but when it came into its own, it didn't so much lean directly into a new form or anything, but just sorta put on a little bit of new dressing with the bassline. Not to say it's bad, just a bit... underwhelming. A very pretty and head-bobbing underwhelming lmao
That being said, and I feel like I'd do it a disservice if I didn't post about it for others to see it here: soundcloud.com
