Idk how I feel about this one. I enjoyed her last single "The Mother Road" much more. I like Chelsea, I thought Hiss Spun was great. I kind of wish she was doing something similar to the doom industrial sound that was on that album, but I appreciate the genre venturing. This song wasn't bad, but definitely not spectacular either.

i liked mother road much more. this one didn't have any grooves that i could readily fall into

I'm enjoying the new sound on this album, maybe not as much Hiss Spun or Abyss but I've always appreciated how she tries to bring her style and tone in different directions.
Already bought tickets to see her live. This album is shaping up quite well.

It's better than The Mother Road but not much better. Still not really feeling this new wave of material. I do prefer Abyss/Hiss Spun but I dunno, this isn't even doing as much for me as the pre-Abyss stuff. Also, I'm pretty sure that old dude was in Low's video for Dancing and Blood.

Yeah I don't totally disagree with you. Her previous stuff is really good though. Her last album was my AOTY in 2016 or 2017, whenever it came out I don't remember.

Personally, I think it's better than Hiss Spun. Maximalism doesn't help her as much when she's left alone with her own voice and more sparse arrangements.

Yet she isn't mainstream.
She's had music in some videogames too (I think FarCry Primal) and for a season of Game of Thrones. Having your music in commercials doesn't necessarily mean a lot for popularity.
