>piano teacher says we should work on this piece next to work on speed and right hand dexterity
>hmm I'm not familiar with it, I'll check it out on youtube
youtu.be
>literally (seriously, unironically) start having an anxiety attack while listening/reading along
>imagining myself trying to play it
>chest starts tightening, feel heart palpitations
This actually, physically happened to me. Of course I closed out before I finished listening but my arms still feel weak. What the fuck is wrong with me? Why is my every attempt at learning this instrument being punished so hard? I can't do it man, I can't even look at my piano right now without having a mini panic attack. All I want to do is practice and get better but I fucking fear the instrument now.
Piano teacher says we should work on this piece next to work on speed and right hand dexterity
>Why is my every attempt at learning this instrument being punished so hard?
What do you mean punished? What you are experiencing is state arousal, adrenalin and heart starts pumping to prepare you for action. It makes you more alert, more ready for physical exertion, it makes your mind sharper. Its actually a natural stimulant that is there to give you a little kick when you need it. The problem is the way you are Interpreting it. Just let the rush trough you, sit there and feel it, go in front of the piano and sit there feeling the full rush, embrace it, its your energy and vitality, then thank your body for being alert and in action mode and start practicing.
Imagine being this much of a pussy
Piano is the easiest instrument ever
>just press this big white button and a perfectly plucked note in perfect tune comes out
Just be glad you're not trying to play that shit on any other stringed instrument where getting your notes to sound cleanly is half of the challenge.
Wrong, guitar is the easiest instrument ever
Piano is easiest to play, but most difficult to master.
Literally every other instrument besides keyboard is irrelevant. Or are you importing notes in your DAW with a tuba?
>Pressing a button is harder than fretting a note with one hand and then plucking the correct string with the other
Enjoy your soulless robot music
Yeah, that's what you get if you step record, lmao. Perform it dipshit. With your /keyboard./
All you have to do is just try it. Start slow. You're going to fuck up, and you're going to keep fucking up for a while. But you'll get there, because that's what practising achieves. Don't give up before you've even started, that's just preposterous.
>piano
>press button and the same sound comes out every time
>all you can vary is the volume
>soul
lmao
>what is tempo
That's what continuous controls are for, nigga. You can operate expression, vibrato, and anything you want on a modern midi set.
I mean hell, if you're not using the mod wheel when recording with certain instruments, you're probably fucking up.
So you're sitting there playing keyboard while desperately rolling back and forth some meme wheel so that the computer can add soul to your otherwise soulless instrument?
Why not just play guitar?
What the fuck? lmao. Cause a guitar has less range and less options than an 88 key midi controller. Why would I downgrade?
You're so unmusically oblivious to texture and colour huh
Schubert is based, stop being a pussy OP.
just humble bragging ''oh look at me I dont know if I can play this Schubert impromptu''
in all seriousness if you actually cant play it then its above your skill level, pieces shouldnt feel impossible when starting to learn
you fucking idiot I'm guessing you never listened to a pianst in your life, piano is one of the most subtle instruments and thats why you need upmost skill to produce the colour
r u talking about pop music? in classical its about the interpretation you need perfect skill in piano to produce a beautiful interpretation, classical guitar is also miles above popguitar
btw Mozart mogs Schubert to syphilis. his harmony is so poor I thought it was jazz for a second
that piece looks like I could play it, when I played piano
good luck, hope you play it sometime
Piano is a stringed instrument
If Schubert is harmonically too spicy for you then I feel sorry for you
Why are you taking it so fucking seriously? You are just an autistic primate trying to have some fun. You aren’t doing anything important, you are just trying to learn it out of passion.
You can play this piece slowly too. But imagine what it will feel like when you can play it at tempo. It will feel effortless and fluid before you can do this. It will feel awesome. You should be excited about that.
Maybe you won’t get it perfectly down this time, but every minute of quality practice you put in will make you a better overall player. You won’t get any worse as long as you remember to play musically and tension free, so why is it stressing you out? You’re just making yourself a better player
spicy? let me put down the Schoenberg I was just listening to, Schubert has special moments but not up there with Mozart, Bach, Beethoven
his harmony is not amazing
Mozart is the king of harmony
Are you saying a triad isn’t challenging you to the depth of your soul? Ok jacob collier
Do see a psychiatrist.
>Schoenberg
Ohhh, crazy stuff.
willing to bet you havent listened to full piece beginning to end apart from Verklarte Nacht
anyway doesnt change Schubert is not the greatest composer, plebs listen to him
>he doesn't have a midi guitar
kmaoing at ur life pleb
how popular something is doesn't really have anything to do with how good it is. that being said, i'd rather listen to something less popular than more popular. also, you posted "Mozart, Bach, Beethoven"
Schubert is more popular than Schoenberg(because theres more plebs. pros on the otherhand appreciate Schoenberg more)
and theres a reason why I said Mozart, Bach , Beethoven cause they are the best
either you being tought by someone who is going at your learning pace, or your piano teacher just see's you as a pay packet. if you're not having fun dump them.
>willing to bet you havent listened to full piece beginning to end apart from Verklarte Nacht
You would lose that bet. Schoenberg isn't spicy at all, dumdum.
What the fuck is wrong with white people?
low iq
Actually it's the opposite. Only a higher IQ enables self-awareness which in return is the cause for most mental problems.
>wasting money on piano lessons when you're at the level of learning a 30 minute Schubert piece
Wasnt this used in a sofa comercial in the new england area?
