Pawn Hearts>Godbluff>HtHWAtOO>Least we could do>Still Life>Grounding>Aerosol>the rest

Probably my top 3 after godbluff and selling england

I want to hug Peter Hammill and tell him everything’s going to be okay

Honestly from what we get in his lyrics and some interviews, his mind seems amazing. I'd love to meet him in person

I cant fight you, probably pawn hearts its the second only option

THIS, It's entry level as fuck but I still have yet to find almost anything that can compare, even after years of being an avid prog fan. Such a masterpiece.

Literally can't.
Godbluff is really underrated, compared with other Van Der Graaf albums.

100% this. After years of listening to prog - more and less obscure - I am still convinced this is as close to perfection as an album can be.
But tbqhwy Godbluff is 8/10 and my favorite VDGG.

I wouldn't have a single doubt about saying the same if it wasnt for Providence. Really, what a way to fuck up a great album flow.

Based.

Pawn Hearts > The Least We Can do > H to He > Godbluff

Best VDGG album coming through

Objectively incorrect opinion.

Seven minute jam proves you wrong

Can't stand those guys at all. Probably just Advent of Panurge and some of In a Glass House.

providence is great what the fuck are you on about, peak KC improv.

It's just pretentious noise with 0 harmonic direction. I never bought that shit about "dissonance is progressive af bruh"

Can't argue. It's one of my absolute favourite albums. The slow ramp up in intensity through the first three songs is unmatched for me. The climax of Arrow still gets me everytime. I think this is their most tight and focused album.

Still Life's really good too. I just like that era of theirs best.

That’s not farewell to kings

The Sleepwalkers' second half is fucking nuts too.

When I think of it's core elements and sound, in normal circumstances I wouldn't really like this band at all, but here we are, and VDGG is my fav band ever

>pretentious

Not even Crimson's best

Attached: Lizard_-_Original_Vinyl_Cover.jpg (316x315, 30K)

pawn hearts and H to He are objectively the best VDGG albums

ANNIHILATIOOOOOOOOOON

Well that ain't it. Gordon Haskell sounds like he catched a cold and some booze at the same time xd

what's the album in the top left?

Frances the Mute.

*the holy trinity of prog rock albums (plus a shitty one by the Mars Volta for some reason)

A trinity means three moron

Left is good, right is dadrock trash.

>Lamb Lies down
At least post the best Genesis album.

I agree Still Life is the best album ever made

Heard it over the last week and the guitars were pretty unimpressive considering it's metal. Not that I expected it to be petrucci mode, but still.
