I thought it was shilling, but it's actually pretty damn good. Probably my aoty so far.
I forget what the thread was about, but thank you to the user who introduced me to Antena. It's become one of my absolute favorite albums.
youtube.com
Might be Yea Forumscore at this point but I would never have heard this album without Yea Forums
Hail the sun - wake
I made a post-hardcore thread and someone posted it, donovan melero is now my favorite drummer
ok.
i want to thank the tryhard hipster for recommending me jorge ben - forca bruta.
it's great m8.
A nice fren on here recommended me Chants by Craig Taborn, got into him from there and he’s now one of my favorites.
An user reccd me Paysage d'hiver a few years ago and I've listened to the project frequently ever since.
Haven't seen it posted in a while, but still a favorite of mine

About eleven or so years ago some guy posted this and said it was perfect for any time of day as long as you were in the right mood. He was right
Not an album but JTG shilling Chris Potter for several years is the best thing that's happened here.
He's absolutely stunning, nothing like him.
for me it was this one last year
this is just amazing, more like this?
this album is so cool
bigs up for the user who posted this album, it's one of the best albums i heard from last year
In a music discord i said I really liked the album Gemini by Wild Nothing. Then someone recommended me Loveless and the rest is history
thanks Yea Forums :3
Dodos - beware the maniacs
I listen to Death Grips and MVB because of Yea Forumscore!
I saw this album in someone's top 10 in a chart thread, and I gotta say it's absolutely monumental
user, if you're reading this, thanks a lot :)
thanks 2013 user
>FMP
This gon be good.
YOU WILL ALWAYS BE A LOSER
Discovered this album and band for the first time on a sharethread here atleast 9 years ago
You changed my life user, thanks
Goodbye is still one of my favorite songs many years later
youtube.com
Couple years ago some user made a thread about 90's female artists with a pic of PJ Harvey, Bjork, and Tori Amos hugging or something. Found several female artists in that thread that are now favorites, including those 3.
Also first found Kate Bush on mu many years ago and she's probs my favorite (male or female)at this point.
I used to shit on female music pretty hard before coming to Yea Forums since I'd only paid attention to shit I heard on the radio.
thank you user for convincing me to try to listen to prefab sprout (steve mcqueen) again because i said i love hats by blue nile. best thing that happened to me on this board.
Thank you, Yea Forums
toss up between this and loveless
I'd like to pass this one on. Thanks user
I owe ya one, user
Try this.
dorkcore 101, unironically the only decent punk album i've heard from recent years
AND THAT'S OKAY
Fuck off goy, clearly he just appreciates the artistic value of paintings like this. Bare naked childs asses are ART not pedophilia
You seem like the guy who used to go on /r/fakeid alot
yeah prolly this
somebody recommended me aja by steely dan yesterday and that album was great!!!!
lol this shit is awesome, thank you user.
whenever i see a nice album cover in the op i check it out
used to do sharethreads but there's too much filler that's only there because it's obscure
No problem man.
Same2
I got recommended this in a /daily/ thread once, unfortunately at the time it kind of went in one ear and out the other and after telling em how I felt about it at the time (not much) I wish I could tell em how much I love it now.
have you tried this one?
From an Omegle thread of all things
I forgot the damned image.
no one reccommended this album to me but i decided to check it out after seeing it around a ton like 7 or so months ago, i showed it to my friend whos usually super picky about music and he loved it. it's since become like a huge bonding point for everyone in my friend group, so everytime i listen to it it makes me think of hanging out with my buds :)
thank you
muno
>things that have never happened: the thread
Yea Forums listens to fucking garbage
I'm back and yeah its absolutely god tier. One of, if not the, best free improv albums I've heard.
this
I found these guys through a random neofolk comp. Strange world we live in
While Meme Fantasy is important to me and got me to start making my own music, pic related is a much nicer recommendation. I would've never stumbled across this without Yea Forums, so thanks, that one user.
Name?
Candy Claws - Ceres and Calypso in the Deep Time
endtroducing
based
when I first started browsing here in 2012. shit blew my mind
i didnt find this from Yea Forums but this really is a great album its a shame the rest of their discog doesn't really hold a candle to it
Glad you liked it user
>he doesn't explore music on his own
never gonna make it
I remember finding this one on a midnight thread 3 years ago when it was rarely if ever mentioned on the board when I really needed it.
That album is fantastic
This is Hex with female vocals
>tfw all cool albums I found on Yea Forums are always from lists/flowcharts/etc and never from anons
Thanks, Adam Gnadeanon.
Asuka
seconding this one, absolutely beautiful
Sad songs like some of those from BJM and Mazzy Star?
Based. In my top 5 favorite albums
Thank you so much to the user that shared this in a thread in 2012.
>Be poorfag
>Download this album just the day before i leave my hometown to go to college in a major city
>i never had my own computer nor money to go to a ciber cafe and get one
(was a fulltime student, so i couldn't get a job and my parents couldn't help me in any other way than with my rent/ food/ college) i REALLY had not a dime that i could spend in anything else other than that.
>i had this album in my phone and some other songs but i mainly listened to this album
>it was an instant click on me, i listened to it in a religious way, day to night and i'm not joking
>every person i met in my college years, i would introduce them to this album
To this day it still is one of my favourite albums but now mostly because of the memories i made along the years while listening to it.
It took me through my college years, through many failed relationships, through the death of many relatives, through complete bankruptcy, through shitty jobs and awesome parties.
thank you so much to shels for creating this masterpiece and to that user because i haven't heard literally anybody talking about the band or this album in any other place.
It's not one of my favorite albums, but it's absolutely god tier.
This one. Fascinating stuff, really.
What a cute and charming album.
Saw these guys recently, and they sucked.
Stop shilling your shitty band on Yea Forums, you indie bowl-headed buttfuck.
90% of Yea Forumscore can be found on spotify/rym/last.fm by clicking similar artists and automated recommendations but I would have never heard of Brave Little Abacus or William Bonney without Yea Forums
Lol not with that attitude, you wont realize or be open to it happening
whats the album? google image search isn't giving me nothing
btw the not having a computer part was meant to explain that i couldn't download any new music, i was stuck with what i had in my phone at the moment
youtube.com
Here ya go, enjoy!
It does get shilled to death, but with out the shilling i would never hear it, so i am eternally grateful
I know it's Yea Forumscore but I would've never listened to it if not for a guy that recommended this to me here
And it's pretty fucking good. So thanks user, and sorry for that lame thread
I saw the Gerogerigegege in a chart made here and if anything they're interesting to read about
i once made a thread saying i felt like im out of music to listen to and that others should recommend me random stuff, someone posted pic related.
thank you user its now one of my favorite albums
It was 2012 and the user posted
>tfw even the album cover gives you feels
Pseudoscorpions
There used to be a PlugDJ room I found through here and I found a lot of good stuff there but this song was my fave. I even ended up moving to Spain by chance.
Some guy recced this as a more experimental Radiohead. Outside of the vocalist kind of sounding like Thom in a couple spots, they really don't have any similarities, but it's still a fantastic album. I just wish Desert Storm was on it though, it's as good as the rest of it.
can't remember if it was a birthday thread or a name thread but this was recommended to me and I fell in love on the first song and have been listening it for years. thanks user
Bassado. I prefer the New Sentimentality version though.
saw this recc'd in a thread for underrated albums a couple years ago, didn't stop listening to the album for almost two years straight. even today I think his complete recordings compilation is still one of my favorite albums
looked like 30yo boomer before opened the pic
An user recommended pic when i was asking for where to start with Bossa Nova, fucking loved it, thanks user
What album?
>tfw the only albums i found on Yea Forums and liked are deathconsciousness and glow pt.2 neither of which i listen to anymore
Fuck this is good
Alva Noto - Xerrox Vol. 2
The violins in this make me spontaneously ejaculate
Noontide by Fanisk, probably my favorite bm album now.
Ordered recently a vinyl copy of it, was a bit expensive, because it's out of stock, but totally worth it.
Recently? This
Fuck yeah man
good comfy music, always makes me feel at ease
Thanks trip hop thread user.
I'm looking for an album that I downloaded in a sharethread years ago here on Yea Forums. I don't remember much from it, other than one of the songs being called "Bumblebee". The genre was bluegrass or some other kind of country. I think the cover may be green and white.
>implying mutual exclusivity
so what you make a point to never listen to anything mentioned by anyone ever around you?
I made a thread a while about this. Some dude posted pic related which if probably my favorite of all time album.
This is a banger - thanks dude.
never would've heard of this or related stuff like Parson Sound if it wasn't for Yea Forums. cheers lads
Never gets old
Never disappointed with Morcheeba
Some literal faggot recommended me God is an Astronaut.
Thanks man.
Some dude mentioned this Truckfighters record once and I listened just because of the name. This album has never not been fun.
thanks user from reddit but i want to share kms
451208WISH re witch house thread user
Never would have found it otherwise.
I discovered Truckfighters because a drunk Josh Homme allegedly said they were the greatest band of all time
Someone recommended this in 2009, good lad.
have fun in the showers
There was a 2011 Nardwuar interview with Homme where he said he still hasn't heard their music.
thank you anons
Spiderland
dontrustheruin.bandcamp.com
thanks user I still really dig this
"Who built this machine? ...This mechanism, this misery"
The white birch is 10/10 as well
Still one of the best albums i've ever heard, if anyone can rec me anything like this ill suck you off
Every song is great, but people won't admit how good it is because it's labeled "pop punk"
Gotta disagree. The album has aged really badly and feels almost embarrassing to listen to. It's definitely of it's time and I understand why people originally liked it. Listening to it now feels like you need the nostalgia to be able to fully enjoy it.
... merriweather post pavilion and boredoms / super ae
it is
Sweet trip in general is nice.
Its weird but I enjoyed it as well
Thanks user
Thanks Heldon user
Wrong, just because YOUR nostalgia ruins it, doesn't mean that it's "aged poorly" nothing about it would dated if it were released today. Just because music trends come and go, doesn't mean they become "dated"
I didn't listen to it on release. First listen though was 2011, felt dated then.
/vr/ user shilled this in a doom thread
youtube.com
you're making me feel old :(
I love this album so much, if you love bands like Styx, Rush and Kansas with a bit of Pink Floyd and Genesis, please listen to The Masquerade Overture by Pendragon
Edit: Forgot to say thanks to that user
An user had Transient Random Noise Bursts With Announcements on a chart in a noise pop thread a couple years back and now it’s my favorite album
Same here
