glad I could help
Because Skrillex killed it
We don't. This is now a dubstep thread.
disregard my last post, I suck cocks
Dubstep can't evolve. When dubstep tries to evolve it becomes EDM instantly.
good for you user
can anyone explain to me why some music calling itself dubstep is like jamaican niggers and dnb loops but the main thing everyone considers dubstep is that wubwub skrillex shit?
dubstep is cool
brostep is not and was a fad
hello you probably know the answer to my questino please help
>what is uk bass
>what is future garage
listen to dub and you'll know the difference, idk really (also, i'm not the user you're talking to)
unironically en.m.wikipedia.org
ok thanks bros i will probably remain in ignorance but maybe i'll check it out
maufive-wave progressive house was significantly better than brostep and i wish it stuck around instead
There was dubstep at first that evolved from Grime - Hip Hop from UK that romanced with Drum and Base. It had heavy bass, and the beat was separated to the stand alone genere as a dubstep. This was big and something new. Music was evolving, and in 2007 everyone had big subwoofers in their 2+1 cheap gamer speakers, so the bass was killing it.
Then it was Rusko and Caspa who made Sub Warriors, and started to experiment with dubstep making it less dark and underground into more fun and dancing Jamaican, flirting with Regge.
Then the shit did hit the fan, and funny heavy bass within dubstep casualized was about to be known world wide and also in the USA. NFS:Carbon etc.
This was the time, when Skrillex decided to change his style from Emo, into Dubstep, because dubstep was new "nuMetal". Rebelious messy, heavy based and noisy. Also everyone mixed it with neurofunk, and soon called neurofunk, dnb in general and brostep was thrown into one bag called "DUBSTEP".
It was so big, and you have to admit, Skrillex as EDM star, was doing gigantic shit. I remember his tunes when it were new. It was something. Shit. But overused everywhere, even in Disney movies, it started to annoy, especially, that dubstep could not evolve further than brostep, because further it went it was more EDM in general like.
And as people was bored with this, dubstep was forgotten. Misunderstood, mixed into everything dnb like. Was everything and nothing. It never recovered after this.
nah...
Skrillex and Nero at least had a few fun memorable songs
Nothing is worse than the absolute bottom of the barrel that was Borgore
Because it's not 2009 anymore.
I refuse to believe people unironically like dubstep in $(CURRENT_YEAR +4)
zoinks now that's a cursed fucking name
Skrillex and deadmau5 made it listenable. Before that it was every UK nigger who never got to be Prodigy randomly banging on shit in their flat. Japanese themed dubstep is where it's at.
>Deadmau5
>Dubstep
you should be banned from Yea Forums after this statement
>Egh heggghhh! Egh heggghhh! I'm going to split hairs and rub my poopy bottom on the floor! Egh heggghhh!
The heavy bass style of dubstep is still massively popular in the festival scene in the US. Never hear anyone listen to it anymore outside of that context though
helpful thank you
vegan diet must be fucking with melons body cause i dont remember he being chunky
What? Deadmau5 was everything but not dubstep. It's like you would called Chopin Jazz music because he played piano lol.
wtf is your problem retard?

the opposite
Well yeah, no problem. The best thing to understand dubstep imo is to know, what kids today won't remember, that in 2005 not everyone had subwoofer in their gaming set. There were cheap headphones, or cheap speakers.
With the growth of technology, and 5.1 and 2+1 speakers, that were more popular, people started to feel bass in their bedrooms. This changed the perception of music, replaced rock with electro, as rock was guitars higher sounds, and electro is sub oriented music. Without subwoofer you will not understand the power of Neurofunk, Dubstep, Techno.
But House and Techno are evolving, the manipulation with sounds and bass, a bit more sophisticated use of synthesis and sound design in this two types evolve with technology. Dubstep did not handle the progres, as it was only bass and nothing else desu.
My love for dubstep will probably never end :D. I just can't get tired of it because of the variety: bass-heavy club songs, dreamy future garage songs and electro-influenced brostep.
Honestly, i just remember hearing normalfaggots talk about generic as fuck dubstep so much in high school, it pretty much turned me off to the whole genre of electronic music. At least the shit you posted more unique than something at a Skrillex or whoever the fuck was making it back then. I'm just fucking glad that nightmare is over.
Jesus user... this what he posted is more unique than Skrillex...
Here, this was the peak of dubstep at the best times. Hate it or love it but don't call this thing unique.
Don't want to offend you fellow, but you are one of the normalfaggs.

What are you talking about? I can hear strong Skrillex influences on KTN's music.
