I'm new to music so I don't know how to describe what I'm looking for, just whatever sounds like them. You can recommend me known classics and mucore too because I haven't listened to much yet.
Despite its influence, Loveless stands alone. Nothing else truly sounds like it.
Nothing resembling the satisfying catchy "hooks" (idk what it's called, the main guitars that stand out in the songs) in I Only Said and When You Sleep?
When You Sleep is the greatest shoegaze song ever. Honestly nothing will come close to it. You can look into the artists that led to the shoegaze scene, but honestly there's a reason loveless is out on the pedestal it's on.

I tried listening to this yesterday and I liked the first song but it got really boring after that.
i think the only sort of shoegazey/dreamy band that can get closer to the level of MBV is Beach House, all the rest of bands of the "scene" are turbo garbage, really, dont even bother.

That was my experience too initially. Then I spent some time listening to Cocteau Twins and Slowdive before revisiting Loveless, and the rest of the album clicked.
for me it was ambient and musique concrete that made me appreciate better Loveless, its literally a pivotal point in recorded music history.
MBV is better by a significant margin
