The Glowing Man is a lil better desu, and Deliquescence is a little better than that as well

don't worry he has another album coming out in October

reminder that nu-swans have only produced like 5 songs worth your time, most stuff post swans are dead is a waste of your time

I agree user, I'd also pick this through

what are the five songs for you, Yea Forums?
mine are Mother of the World, Piece of the Sky, Apostate, She Loves Us, Glowing Man

>everyone forgot their only good album, my father

What was the album of the last decade?

Imagine picking out songs for a band that makes albums to be listened to in their entirety, what a fucking pleb

She Loves Us, The Seer, Glowing Man, The Apostate, Lunacy

Also, the transition from The Wolf to The Seer is the best moment in Swans discography. The Wolf is the best musical intro that I know.

The Knot, The Glowing Man, Mind/Body/Light/Sound, Lunacy, Blood Promise (TGA version)

Lunacy, Mother of the World, A Piece of the Sky, Cloud of Unknowing, When Will I Return

Based, The Wolf doesn't get nearly enough love for what it is, how can an intro get stuck in my head so fucking well?

Mother of the World does this for me too
Honestly such an incredible track, the "intro" part is so fucking incredible

I also particularly like the intro of Avatar and the drum outro of The Apostate. So much great build-up and pay-off in this album.

>Snaws
>Goog

The climax of Avatar shows how overrated TBK is really, very rarely does TBK ever hit the same highs and be extremely well paced as The Seer or The Glowing Man, there's a lot of great songs on TBK but it feels more like a compilation in comparison

swans is googsic

I kind of agree, TBK has the most killer least filler, but the highs are not nearly as rewarding and soul crushing as Seer and Glowing Man. The exception being She Loves Us, which I think most people can agree is like top three nu-Swans songs

B-b-b-blessed post

yeah and the albums are shockingly lacking in ideas, especially considering how good swans past albums are. it’s in fact you who are the pleb for thinking that nu-swans is anything other than wank

this, thank you user

Scared of a 30 minute long song user? Don't worry, I think The Wolf might be short enough for your attention span

i get that you’re baiting but in the case you aren’t the problem isn’t that the songs are 30 minutes long, it’s that there’s barely enough material for a 10 minute song on most of these extended tracks. I’m sure youre gonna say “but you just can’t appreciate long repetitive song structures” and that’s just not true. I just can’t appreciate them when little happens to progress the song except for muh crescendos and faster tempos. my-swans are exceedingly normie and you’re kidding yourself if you think otherwise. shit was literally on the billboard top 200

You're just showing how easily filtered you can be, The Seer would not be nearly as powerful a track if it was just 10 minutes long, and you're seriously going to pull the it's bad because nothing happens in the song? There's a high chance you turned off Toussaint L'Ouverture off before the actual meat of the track started. Saying nuswans isn't for you is fine, but saying the equivalent of "Nuswans are objectively bad" is just idiotic and you're beyond filtered at that point

bro i’ve listened to every nu-swans album in full like 4 times. you’re just assuming that i didn’t listen to them the full way because there’s no way someone else could feel different about an album than you. Get your head out of your ass and listen to soundtracks for the blind. stay pleb, your thread is boring, goodbye

The new album Gira said is going to be half the length as the last 3 and vocal focused. I listened to the live version and there's not much repetition going on.

woah you're telling me swans charted?? guess i cant listen to them anymore. someone pls rec me some literallywho-core so i can feel superior to normies

that’s good then. i’m just talking about the last 3 big albums

swans are garbage. have one on me is objectively aotd
