probably the best album cover of all time
IMO the best album of all time. I understand that a case can be made for Scott 4 but I would challenge anyone to find an album that is better than this.
them fuckin’ strings man
Late scott >>>>> Early scott
It’s not even a contest.
One of my favourite album covers. Great album too, but not as good as Scott 4 and his later avant stuff though.
the album that got me into Scott. fucking love it since the first time i listened it.
also this . hard to believe that cover is from 1968 but looks like a modern picture, or even better

can we all agree that copenhagen is the best track
can we all agree that copenhagen’s coda is heartbreaking
I like Rosemary
It's raining today is my favorite.
Excellent album; personally my second favorite of his discography after Tilt. Copenhagen is one of his best songs.
IT’S RAINING TODAY
Name a better early Scott song than The Old Man's Back Again and The World's Strongest Man
the electrician
Based and Copenhagenpilled
Scott was working on another album, if you buy the books of lyrics Sundog (which came out last year) you will find four unreleased songs at the end of it.
I love both of those songs but for me it's Jackie and The Girls from the Streets
Scott 2 is so underrated
Technically Jackie is a Jacques Brel song translated by somebody other than Scott himself
>Jacques Brel
What do you guys think of his music, am listening to him for the first time. And although I think his work is p good, it hasn't really impressed me
He's great. Amazing lyricist.
He's a good lyricist but he's really good for hamming it up in stage. It's a plebby opinion, but I think Le Moribond is one of his best songs
Wish I could understand french
Thanks I didn't know that. Seems like Scott covered a lot of his songs
A lot of his early work was. He stopped covering him when the 70s hit (I think Scott 3 is the last time he did a Brel song). It's both sad because Brel needs more exposure in the Anglosphere but also good because Scott found his voice as an independent artist.
Jacques Brel is especially good if you actually understand what he's singing about (which requires you to know either French or possibly Dutch for a few songs), but even outside of that the compositions that accompany him and his singing skill are great.
I keep switching between 3 and 4 as my favorite early Scott album and while I can recognize the immense artistic worth of late Scott, I find myself coming back to 1-4 way more often.
