Played this right after I saw my best friend from middle school for the last time. I moved from Brooklyn the year before and I was in the city to meet up with him. This was summer 2011 and I was gonna be a sophomore in September. When I got on the subway and started playing this, I realized right then and there this was the last time I was gonna see him for a good while. After that we still texted each other shit here and there but we basically stopped talking all together by 2012. Good times

I've been listening to Hirasawa's music a lot recently and I've come across that feeling a lot too. I feel aversion and joy when I experience it. It's like a part of me I never knew existed has come back to life and I am taken aback by it. It's made me realize I need to get my life back on track and reconnect with those around me and those I've lost contact with instead of self-isolating and made me think about using the talents I have for something worthwhile. I'm only 23; I shouldn't feel like I'm dying always. I just want to feel like I belong in some way. Sorry for the blogging. I just need to let myself vent. I've been bottling up my emotions for years on end and these past 3 months have made me feel more alive than I've been since middle school.
God, I remember listening to this song endlessly in middle school. This song reminds me of my best friend at the time and my first crush. I think she was the girl that made me fall head over heels for any girl that was as sweet as a button (but had a sharp tongue), wore glasses, was a brunette and was Catholic. I honest to God hope she's okay after all these years.
