COME BACK, BABY
I WANNA PLAY HOUSE WITH YOU

the one where he rips off black contemporaries

both good answers

even though it's overplayed, it's 'i can't help falling in love'. best recording though is his version of 'always on my mind'

A little less conversation

>not realizing the record labels paid royalties to the musicians whose songs he covered
>not realizing this music wouldn't have gained traction without elvis
THE ABSOLUTE COPE

i think you should categorize per genre, too much great songs.

holy fucking based
The Sun Sessions is fucking great all round though

This

>his
There isn't such thing.

Record companies didn't pay royalities to black artists until 70s. Artur Crudup, the author of That's all Right, got nothing for example

Hurt (not the JC/NIN song). It really shows his range. It’s deeply underrated

this probably captures the passion, drama and overall feel of Elvis better than others, but it does sound incredibly dated
Always on my mind is probably one of his best vocal performances and a genuinely brilliantly written song.

He had better ones than that.

not according to me

I like his crazy high-tempo rockabilly shit like King Creole and Guitar Man. Suspicious Minds is quintessential Elvis though.

>inb4 screencap thing of Cuckgau talking about Elvis fans kicking his ass in high school

In The Ghetto and Just Can't Help Believin are pure kino

I liked jailhouse rock but i only have a top 40 hits album on cd and i aint gonna run spotify on my pc

Can't Help Falling in Love with Your Mom

American Trilogy

I like the one about building an extension on the house for God.
