I'm using some 5BN for playing mostly hard rock but recently I started to pratice some funk and gospel grooves.
To what drum stick size should I transition for those kind of genres?
how do i make sick drum groove like dis drummerbros
Why does my snare sounds like trash
How do I into limb independence
I think the simplest way is praticing with two limbs at the time and then adding more limbs when you feel comfortable.
That's at least the method that worked for me.
sold my kit awhile ago and going through no-drum psychosis. no energy outlet....feels bad man
Find a flaw, drumlets.
Post the most difficult song you learned to play
how would you rate the drumming on this record

What do you call a guy who hangs out with musicians?
A drummer.
Still have to work on those hertas to get them more clean
They're ok
don't be a gear fuckboi, play whatever you think feels right. drumsticks will never prevent you from playing a groove properly. I would personally stop using nylon, and if you really need a different stick, look into ones that are slightly longer and thinner. Promark 747s would be perfect
If you want to learn the way all jazz drummers and session pros learn, get this book. If not, just force yourself to play constant 1/4 or 1/8 note hi hat steps on any groove you play. Feel how the bass drum fits in the spaces and lines up. It'll take a long time but it's worth it

Good record to learn to bring you to the next level. I think the saving grace of this song is that his drumming feels very intuitive the whole time
A) because it is trash, B) because you're shit at tuning or C) both, pick one
how does a singer songwriter guitarist into drums?
im sick of waitng on people to get my songs done
Just learning. It's an easy instrument to pick up imo
Kick on the 1,3
Snare on the 2,4
groove from there
How do I know when is the time to change the drum heads
therer's not really a stick per genres. a back weighted stick is easier to manipulate however and the volume you need for certain situations may differ and so stick bulk can effect that (of course a drummer knows volume and dynamics and can do what ever regardless of the stick).
I use a VF bolero for about everything, except for when I want something heavier.
its pretty rudimentary syncopation.
try layering rudimentary syncopation with a reduced palette of drums/hats.
>get my songs done
would not want to work with you
>tfw ok at guitar
>Tfw no reliable or decent drummers
>Tfw spend all if high school drumming on your desk
>Tfw buy a kit off a drug addict
>Tfw desk drumming translates well to actual drumming
>Tfw become decent drummer and stuck playing drums in every band since
I just want to play guitar or sing in a shitty hardcore or Viking metal band. Is that so much to ask drum Bros?
electronic kits? yay or nay
whats stopping you then?
I mean, other than GOOD TASTE?
Bump
No good or even decent drummers around brev
The first viking metal band was one man
What drum kit do you play lads?
ok
guitars are easy to store in an apartment, drums arent and im a beginner/poor, what set should i get
How do I tune my toms?
I've got a Yamaha Maple Absolute Custom from before they started being made in China. It's basically my wife at this point, I've spent more on it than I have on any girlfriend
a really good kit can last you for decades, so, its entirely worth the investment . . .
