RECs, I've taught these guys all the good things they know, I'm basically their biggest influence.
do you really need all those people to make that shit? lmao
soundcloud.com
I've had some trouble describing my music to other people, closest similarity is probably Animal Collective/Panda Bear.
More RECs
Don't rep the bass if it's not even mixed well in your song, If you're claiming the bass-lyfe you should be using it properly in the mix. Like 1st of all: You need to Learn how to boost your bass. I can help you out quite a bit if you ask, but for now what you need to focus on is Making great bass patches. to make a beginner bass, get a defult patch in Harmor, turn the low-pass on A to 10% and 0% on B, and then turn the Sub up on both A and B, next turn on some slight distortion and then EQ the sub in the mixer up all the way.
HA I'm so happy you bowed down to me little baby, I taught you smart things!
I see you bent to my will huh. That's pretty good, I'm glad so many of you are learning!
Here's a tip since you're a beginner:
-1st buy fl studio, its all you need at 1st
-2nd make a kick/snare rythem
-invite some producers over to hang out and get them to help get a melody / bassline idea
-3rd get some studio time,
4th, get some experienced producers to work with you durring your session(s)
5th let them do whatever they want to the song to make it good.
6th DONE! you have a new song you can upload online and start blowing up.

Do you really need to be jealous that I'm a genius composer who has a symphony to play my arrangements?
>pic related is basically me
You again? Didn't you learn your lesson? I guess your a dumb little guy. Lol too weak to understand my genius mind. But bro, for real start composing your own music. It's fine if you need people to play the music for you, but to have people come up with ideas and you use their ideas because you're too dumb to think it up on your own.,... Pathetic bro. The problem I have with 99% of "musicians" who sample other people's work is LONGG. The big thing is with these digital sound sampling devices, back in the day my sh!t was ANALOG bro, do you even know what analog means? Whatever, anyway these digital systems are, we are told, music mimics par excellence, able to render the whole orchestral panoply, plus all that grunts, or squeaks. The noun "sample" is, in our comodified culture,pre-fixed by the adjective free, FREE. as in STEALING. So now you're lying about being an artist and if one is to consider predicating this subject, perhaps some thinking aloud on what is not allowable auditory appropriation is to be heard.
Some of you, current and potential samplerists are confused, I KNOW you're confused, and it's about the extent to which you can legally borrow from the ingredients of other people's sonic manifestations. Is a musical property properly private, and when and how does one trespass upon it? Like myself, you may covet something similar to a particular chord played and recorded singularly well by the strings of the estimable Eastman Rochester Orchestra on a long-deleted Mercury Living Presence LP of Charles Ives' Symphony #3 and you're thinking "Oh no, welp here's another song down the DRAIN".

Throwing words like "Lofi" or "Bedroom" infront of your genre isn't some sort of indie tagline. I know you fake musicians THINK it is.but.. it's not. Real guys in the industry laugh all day long at "bedroom" and "lofi" musicians. You think any real musician walks into a studio and tells the production team he's looking for a "bedroom pop" feel? absolutely NOT! If there was a dummy that ever did that they'd be thrown outta there pronto. I know you've never dealt with real industry peeps like me, and you've never even set inside a legitimate studio like I have, so this is just a word of advice to a beginner like you.
Your beats are a big generic and I recognize the Samples. the sample sounds like it was recorded to a 15ips tape machine with a live band going straight through a console, and the drums are coming from a drum machine, synth, or stock DAW drum samples, chances are the context won’t make sense, you should always focus on that crispy sound quality bro.
In my mind I’m thinking “ok, what can I do to make these drums sound better, like they BUMP to the sample, but still stick out and hit hard?” Bro... Think about it like this, it might mean you have to be processing to the sample, or processing to the drums, or both. And generally needssome experimentation to make it BOOM in the speaker. And also mmatching the space is super key. This isn’t easy, it takes a really ADVANCED ear like mine. But if you can train yourself to listen to the ambience in the sample and recreate that ambience around the drums, but don't get confused. You follow? Next turn up the EQ low end & ta-da you're better.
Yo bro this is kinda interesting bro. I would keep working on it if I were you tho, it feels like there's more potential with it that you haven't tapped yet. But It's a good start bro! I think you could start making something really interesting out of it. You can ask me for a colab if you're wanting me to finish it.

Not bad overall, but bro heres a tip for getting your guitars to actually sound heavy:
Turn knobs marked "gain" or "overdrive" all the way up. Turn other volume knobs down to get the loudness you want. Once you've proved you can get heavy distortion, dial things back to find the tone you want. Focus on being LOUD!! Some amps won't distort at low volumes, mainly because that's dumb as all hell LOL. If yours is like this, either just play loud or give up.

Bro. EVERYONE here is Independent. Ohhh wait you mean indie as a style.... Grow up and learn your genres! Indie isn't a style, it was short form for independent but at the time the "indie" artists that were blowing up were that s0i-boy soft rock style. But un industry folk LAUGH at those artists now. There's a reason pvssies like The Strokes are blacklisted now.
>getting insecure about someone being a better musician than you.
That's sad bro, just relax and be yourself. No need to feel insecure bro, I'm sure your "bedroom" music is somewhat listenable LOL.
Careful how you use the word Ambient bro....
LOL that guy you RECCed by accident is funny and generic compared to me. 99% of EDM out there is cookie cutter. That's why people hate my music, I'm actually trying to change the genre up instead of pooping while listening to kicks hit on 1 and 3 saying "yup! that's finished!" But me.., I mastermind a work of renascence art every time!
moi
>Spotify
Bro, no offence bro but spotify will destroy your career, or I should say your attempt at one before it even begins. Spotify's whole gameplan is to security steal music from artists and then when that artist disappears they rebrand the music under a new name. Basically like what the industry did with Lady GaGa but now it's spotify doing it and no one knows.
shut the fuck up with your horrible advice. you suck at making music. you need 5 people to make your songs for you and it's literally just garbage EDM.
how long is his response notepad
You look braindead dubby. Stfu.
I won't argue with, you I am just a performer, I am not insecure about my music because the only sonata I've done sucks major dick so I've nothing to be insecure about. But you are nowhere near even comparing yourself to Bach you utter brainlet.

RECS
Fix your URL, "user_____" looks REALLY amateur.
Bro, "lofi" isn't a safeword to avoid criticism on EQing and mastering. It's not just to clean up sound quality, EQ is to make space for all the elements to fit together. If multiple elements of a mix occupy similar frequency ranges and attempt to fit into the same space, the result will often sound muddy, and basically just a MESS, it doesn't sound "indie" or whatever you shmucks say its like.
This is pretty soft lol You need to switch some stuff up little buddy. You need to Learn how to boost your bass.
Do your own research bro!! If you can't even be bothered to care about your own music how do you expect other people to? You think a top notch producer will be able to work with you if you can't articulate what it is you are trying to do? You think a label will sign you if when they're meeting with you about a possible record deal you just say "i dunno what i'm doing *fart sound*"
cool story bro
I've taught this producer everything, RECC
I'm not Bach, I'm Vivaldi, get your fact straight.

LOL
Yeah you won't argue with me because you know I'll put you in your place. You can't mess with a modern day genius when all you do is drink tap water and play 2 chords on a guitar.
This whole trap bandwagon thing has gone too far. We have way too many beginners thinking they're going to get famous off of half-baked garbage renditions of trap lol. Bro try to make real music, be yourself bro. Be yourself.
moi
Bro, it's good but actually it really sucks. But don't worry, grow a thick skin and I'll help you. I'm here to help you plebs to get better.
Doesn’t matter what equipment you use, earphones or microphones. As long as you are familiar with how your equipment respond to the overall frequency range, you can still make good mixes with even a 10$ earphone.
Master equalization. Know your frequencies.
Avoid using loops as it is. Try to process it, chop it around, mix & match.
Don’t shy away from scale, chord suggestion VST or arpeggiator. They will amaze you in times. Experiment with it, tweak it, make a suggested chords or lead even more articulated.
Invest your Mula on a single great piece of hardware, instead of spending it on a lot of cheap gears.

i repeat my question
Glad to see yet another thread is being derailed by these people who don't actually like music.
I mean "i'm glad" SARCASTICALLY. I don't get the point of coming here and ruining these threads.
What could it possibly do to make you guys feel better about your shitty shitty lives.
And yes, it's clear that your lives are shitty, if they weren't you wouldn't do this to us here.
DJ Dubbi is an asshole. There's no other way to put it.
Every day. Every. Fucking. Day. He comes here and shits on all of our music.
We work hard on our craft and all he does is quickly throws a cheesy bass line over a beat.
Yet, he has the balls to tell US that our music isn't good. He has the guts to rate our music out of 10?
He can't even write a real song that isn't just a rip off of whatever thing is cool, and not done well either.
Don't let DJ Dubbi, or any of the trolls here get you down about your craft.
DJ fuckface Dubbi is just an autistic faggot who thinks shitting on peoples work is funny.
He's not trolling he's just retarded, I fucking hate him, every day he tell me my music is shitty.
I've spent half a decade perfecting my craft, and he thinks he can come along and just fuck my career up?
Fuck that.
Fuck him.
We are artists. He isn't.
Sorry for the rant.
