Why is this associated with jazz?
Why is this associated with jazz?
Because it sucks

Because rockfags think playing a sax instantly makes you jazz influenced
Despite what retarded rockfags think, though, it’s still a very good proto-punk album

Stop bumping your thread you autist, nobody even thins this is jazz.
samefag
the first two probably are, i just posted some random cat off my hard drive to fit in sorry, I actually like funhouse in infrequent doses
for shame mu this is the first ever punk record ever.
>proto-punk
1970 is basically punk, not even proto
Doesn’t it have a Free Jazz on rym tho? What a fucking joke.
Why is this associated with post rock?
They don’t know what free jazz is
Mid 70s was when Punk was officially created, stuff before that was proto. Stooges are known as the godfathers of punk.
I don't think I've ever heard anyone associate this record with jazz, but it does contain some saxophone abuse.
It's pretty heavy rock. These dudes might have known about some jazz, but if you played this record for a jazz fan in 1970 they would probably think it was some cro-mag/neanderthal stuff. That said, it's pretty awesome for cro-mag/neanderthal stuff.
It’s jazz in spirit man, go back to your Wynton
Why are gusicposters so spineless
because side B, specially LA Blues, has some free jazz influence. guess this fags listened to Coltrane or some Coleman and wanted to replicate it. and they did it really good cause it's my fav part of the album
You all can suck Iggys dick
dave alexander was rudimentary but his jazz influence is pretty clear regardless
a pretty underrated figure in general, written off as a drunk fuck up yet he's in the DNA of punk rock
Cuz there's a saxophone duh
cuz TOOT TOOT MUTHA FUCKA
Because the sax solo on 1970 is free-jazz influenced, but I agree with you, it shouldn't have the free jazz tag.
SAX LMAO, yeah guys its a fuckin SAX XD lol

Damn, Supertramp is jazz now?
?
