Neat, then I would still be listening to Vertical Horizon and Blink...oh wait, I don't.

I don't mean still actively listening to it regularly, but say if you havent listened to it in 9 years, but you play it a decade later and it still sounds great to you.

It did for me. That music is the music I listen to the most regularly, granted I've gone through many phases of discovering other stuff and periods of not listening to it as much as other things.

You reject it for a couple of years, then at like 23 you start enjoying it again unironically.
That's why things like Slipknot are starting to be considered "real music" in music circles, everyone is reaching that age.

This is still really good. One of my favorite radio hits.

I don't really listen to it anymore and found many things I like much more, but I still like it so I guess yes?

To an extent. I still think Incubus made some solid pop/alt rock albums in the late 90s-early 00s. On the other hand I think all Muse is absolute trash now.

I was listening to dadrock at that age. I've come back to a lot of it, but now I see that a lot of it was also not that great.

LOLno. That stuff is horribly dated and almost unlistenable now.

Blink holds up dude.

>"heh heh... how cliche of you Mr. user Lastname... you of all people should know how antithetical such teenage musical angst is to how us real life teens actually are. Nonetheless, a decent song choice."

Moon Baby is legitimately a good song. Can't listen to any Godsmack outside of that anymore though

Good makeout songs are hard to forget.

not even i stand alone? cmon

Tom DeLonge's vocals sure don't.

Was listening to a lot of QOTSA and entry level thrash like Metallica and Slayer. QOTSA still kills it for me, but I am so tired of Metallica. All the trance I listened to in middle school is pretty unlistenable though.

No way bro Tom sounds like the archetypal teen and it fits the music perfectly. Get real.

Godsmack is a band who has some good jams, but they really kind of exemplify the idea of a "radio band" in my opinion. Sure, I can blast Bad Religion, Sick Of Life, Greed, Speak etc etc and have no problem with it....

But then again at the end of the day I can't deny that it just sounds like a pretty blatant mashing together of at the time commercially safe sounds into nothing more interesting IMO than those individual things, which to me Godsmack sounds like they took Metallica's Black Album and threw it in a blender with some AIC and early Korn singles. Every band shows their influences some way, but some bands like Godsmack to me seem just a little too obviously contrived and going for something created to please a mass audience

i still enjoy blink

I listened to a lot of Nirvana in my teens, now it all makes me cringe. The Unplugged show still holds up, though I always hated Kurt's guitar tone in it.

I still like stuff like Coldplay, Keane and Muse even though there are better bands

I find Blink almost unlistenable myself.

cringe

Yes, if you didn't have shit taste. I still listen to Depeche Mode and Placebo.

Yeah, some part of it. I still enjoy Gorillaz, Queen. Plus, my dad used to play Tom Waits, John Surman, etc. in the car, their music sounded so strange, alien, but charming, so when I grew up I got the enjoyment of their works but in a different way than back in my childhood.

at least a third of the discs look like they'll still play lmao

not really

Did for me, found this band at 15 in 1996 and it's still my favorite

27yo. I thought it was pandering to my teenage angst, but whenever I listen to LP I still like it. I listen more to music I discovered when I was 16-18, though - Boards of Canada, 65daysofstatic, Nujabes

I've discovered more music and expanded my taste, but I still come back to and follow a lot of bands from my childhood like Green Day and Slipknot and Panic! At The Disco

>like Green Day and Slipknot and Panic! At The Disco
bruh

It varies
>Linkin Park
Yes
>Korn
Nope
>Slipknot
Nope
>Three Days Grace
Fuck no
>System Of A Down
Yes
>Limp Bizkit
Fuck no
>Blink
Nope
>Green Day
nope
Some aged well, some did not.

dookie is still a good album desu

went onto my old ipod
these were the only albums on there
only things i still listen to from this:
occasionally Daft Punk, The drums, and Gorillaz. Mf doom, who i didnt know was on november has come at the time so i guess that was my first exposure. i was surprised to see morphine was on here but that must've subconsciously stayed with me
gorillaz is the essential band before getting into music
why is blink boomer-core all of a sudden
buddah was alright i guess
