Scaruffi doesn't even know about them.

Spanking Machine [Twin/Tone, 1990]
Three daring women who decided that if Mudhoney could do it, they could too. And made rock feminists all over 'zineland darn proud. C+

To Mother [Twin/Tone, 1991] *bomb*

The hottest Reese Witherspoon ever looked! Plenty of room for Hole, Babes, and L7 too though (members from all three groups were in a band beforehand).

As good as it is, Scaruffi slightly overrated Fontanell imo, I put L7-Bricks are Heavy ahead.

>L7-Bricks are Heavy
funnily enough that was an 8 but he changed it to 7.5!

yeah, but hole is better. especially vs the songs when babes in toyland let the drummer sing. no offense to her.

I'm not saying I wouldn't have given Kat Bjelland a facial back in the day, but...

Not entirely sure why he didn't like them but maybe it had to do with Kat's vocal delivery.

IDK. No matter how hard girl rockers try to sound (and I guess BIT had some reasonably effective crunchy punk guitars), I can never entirely take them seriously and they always just sound too cute.

Thanks, I didn't know that! They are both very good records, I guess as noted, the song on Fontanelle where the drummer sings kinda messes up the momentum. Bottom line I think Bjelland alone was more talented than Sparks and Gardner, but Sparks had Gardner to do the lead guitar parts and Gardner had Sparks to do most of the singing (and Courtney had Erlandson to play lead for that matter), whereas Kat had to do everything.

>PULL MY LEGS APAAAARRTT
Good idea desu.

And it's another thread where Yea Forums devolves into pathetic locker room-tier misogyny.

It's a song about having hate sex.

L7 only, dude.

Hmm, ok, both these songs are short. See if you agree with my point.
L7 could bring the guitar riffs. I wouldn't call the vocals in this cute either.

Another good riff comes from Veruca Salt a few years later, but the vocals are much 'cuter'.

So you've heard a lot of the second style, but maybe not heard the first before?

Fuck off hambeast.

>BIT's garage punk is bad but L7's slick metal guitars kick ass
I swear this guy changes his story every fucking review.

L7 were vaguely political so maybe that was good enough for him.

>listening to (((riot gurl))) bands

No thanks Mordechai.

faggot

You listen to them for the waifus, not the songs.

Granted, compared to dreampop bands the girl groups in the 80s-90s could at least play some hard stuff.

Fucking Millenials I swear.

>Waifu-ing a bunch of bitter feminists
Why?

Then why does Yea Forums waifu Gr*mes?

not everyone here is a retarded incel who is intimidated by women wanting rights

The only people I knew back in the day who unironically listened to (((riot bands))) were skanks that larped as man hating feminists.

Attached: oifE9lO.png (862x725, 762K)

And critics.

>not everyone here is a retarded incel who is intimidated by women wanting rights

dilate

Most normal 90s grils listened to basic pop like Mariah Carey or they wanted to bone Chris Cornell.

>Perhaps the most talented musicians of the entire "foxcore" scene were Minneapolis' Babes In Toyland, led by vocalist and guitarist Kat Bjelland. Spanking Machine (1990) was already an eruption of cathartic violence, but Fontanelle (1992) was a set of psychological traumas, a witchy pandemonium of voodoo/pow-wow rhythms, hysterical screams and massive distortions, from which Bjelland vomited harrowing lyrics, mad with rage, disenchantment, hoplessness and frustration. The trio managed to express the schizophrenic coexistence of the innocent, apprehensive, defenseless child with the experienced and corrupt slut, junkie and juvenile delinquent. The Babes In Toyland invented an art of extreme emotions: more than singing or playing theirs was "acting", and it was "acting" one's own life.

tl;dr he wanted to fuck them

>At least Bruise Violet , Mother and Won't tell remain in the annals of rock, and Jungle Train could represent the beginning of a new genre.

They just need a good dicking to discipline them.

>Thinking feminism has been about women's rights at any time in the past 30 years
Thanks for the laugh, friend!

Is that his wife?

Jesus Christ, get laid

Not even in the past 50 years.

Nice. I have heard that feminists are actually the kinkiest ones in bed but I haven't confirmed this on my own because I'm not stupid enough to fuck a feminist in current year.

They are. They usually have major daddy issues and are into BDSM and rough sex.

>they are even Scaruffi approved!
Yikes

kill yourself misogynist scumbag, you deserve to get shot in the dick

Hi Cuckgau.
