I am going to respond to this post seriously for one and state that there are very key differences between this and a crunkcore track from 2008. First lyrically it is vastly different, Crunkcore lyrics mainly talked about going to "da club", cellphones, getting laid, hot topic and other scene culture white 100 gecs admittedly does use bragadocious lyrics in a few songs other songs are a about trying to get money back from a jockey that you lost a bet on or the ringtone of you girl/boy friend. The vocals are also different as most 2008 music would use autotune only (brokencyde, T-Pain) while 100 gecs uses both autotune and pitch shifting (some may argue that due to genres like Nightcore being popular in 2008 this goes against my point) but more importantly is the production and instrumentals. Crunkcore uses late crunk rap, early bling and electro pop instrumentals while the gecs use bubblegum bass with a mix of trap rap. While both use hip hop inspired instrumentals, 100 gecs' are more unique and energetic. So please update your copypasta to be more accurate.

thats not true. osno1 (laura les) has a huge following on the experimental pop, soundcloud scene on rym for quite some time. id loved her other works and many within the communtiy i interact with were well aware of her and anticipatign this release. this release doesnt have any lyrical conent directly about being trans or gender dysphoria as much of her past work did however. id say this would have been a cult hit within the queer community but had mainstream appeal in some way just cause it was so good.

there was, to my knowledge, three people who worked on this album: laura, dylan, and.. uhh i'll call her brodie to keep her identity concealed. not too hard to find her if you pay attention to the nyc socialite/pc music scene though. brodie used a site called 'audiotool' and FL studio for her contributions, which are on at least half of the album. she also had a big part to play in 'ringtone', it's basically her song with dylan and laura featured on it.
i can give more informa-- theories! if y'all want, though i'd need somewhere private...
laura and dylan aren't as talented as they come across, this girl is the reason the album sounds so good

I watched it. I liked it, but it's kinda amateurish; it's the sort of thing that you'd get a second class degree for as your final degree project of a fine art degree. And it's certainly not comedy, I don't know why people are referring to it as such in the comments, it's just a short art film; actually pretty good, but surely not the best art the the alt-right has to offer.

I like both senpai. 1000 gecs is more enjoyable because my teenage dream ended does get boring once the novelty wears off, whereas 1000 gecs is both too short and musically varied for that to happen.
