Really fuck with this, everything seems to have its own space in the song without compromising the integrity of it, I’ll definitely be following and if I can muster up any feedback that is beneficial I’ll let y’all know
Luis Lee
soundcloud.com/user-943098948/control Little rough around the edges as it’s a quick bedroom recording, but any feedback so we can better a final version would be great!
>soundcloud.com/ashlandsummit/sets/additm i love the processing on your 808s they sound fat! other than that you got some spooky music goin on there brotha! good shit! love it
youtu.be/-Jf3Q1VBvtg If you guys like rap music, anime, cartoon, and video game references I think you'd like my song. Lyrics are in the description (:
this is really cool and i really like how its all recorded in analog this is really cool apocalypse windows 95 brian eno type stuff, i cant really critique this because im not that big into ambient but i would add a touch more repetition into it yeah this is neat, i would roll of the high end just a pinch because sometimes the high end hurts my fucking head but otherwise really really neat genesis/psx/saturn soundtrack stuff
>soundcloud.com/gregor-mcmurray/us-at-night Super original shit, would consider layering something more in, maybe a lead to cut through all the low sounds. Love the textures on the beat, and those vocal samples come in smooth.
Beautiful vocals, cool mixing, would be stoked to see this live someday.
Hey man, it's a cool song, with really nice vocals. Sounds quite 80's.
I will say the intruments sound a little midi, kindof like they've been recorded in a tiny box, but desu I'm not sure if this is a bad thing or not, it does give the song it's own character.
Evan Robinson
This sounds like Autechre to me. sean is that you?
Hey folks, here's a sneak preview of a brand new track, not even released yet! Looking for feedback on the overall sound as I haven't quite decided on the mastering yet. Let me know what y'all think!
this miku song brings nothing but nostalgia for the old days of seeing a bunch of vocaloid animated videos back in the days and honestly, I think with the odd shrill points in the vocals and the choice for the fairly typical dark choice in the lyrics it delivers on that subject well, i hope you make more tracks with vocaloids because it seems like you're pretty good at it.
>post-post malone >trap >post-rock >lofi >lots of cool stuff
Finishing up a beat tape right now and I’m looking for opinions on the most recent upload “blue staxx” but feedback on any of the tracks up there is much appreciated...all will be returned.
You seem to still be drifting even with all of these small islands around you, granted they are small and sharp, but you couldn't sleep out at sea anyway.

Spotify's whole gameplan is to security steal music from artists and then when that artist disappears they rebrand the music under a new name. Basically like what the industry did with Lady GaGa but now it's spotify doing it and no one knows. Weak.what you need to focus on is Making great bass patches. to make a beginner bass, get a defult patch in Harmor, turn the low-pass on A to 10% and 0% on B, and then turn the Sub up on both A and B, next turn on some slight distortion and then EQ the sub in the mixer up all the way.
recs (sorry for ignoring most of you, i just don't listen to beats at all and i don't know which ones are good) dont like the vocals but it's nice overall spuki kinda cute very relaxing yeah dreamy and sweet my head hurts i'm a huge fan of ambient and i enjoyed this its pretty okay. just seems too raw for me
Your URL should never be "user____" fix that sh1t bro, fix that. Go into your edit profile and make your URL your artist name. Another one with no knowledge of how horrible lofi is....Years ago the music industry was deregulated and lofi became a thing. So I dunno what you think you're doing by being a legit response to the things real musicians like me do to stop the degeneration of music. And for real bro, lofi? Come on......Bro, "lofi" isn't a safeword to avoid criticism on EQing and mastering. It's not just to clean up sound quality, EQ is to make space for all the elements to fit together. If multiple elements of a mix occupy similar frequency ranges and attempt to fit into the same space, the result will often sound muddy, and basically just a MESS, it doesn't sound "indie" or whatever you shmucks say its like, its just embarrassing.
Glad you finally took my advice, I'm smart huh. Bro. Stick to your gunz bro, if people are getting butthurt you gotta shovel the steez. I know you're loving how I do. If you're folk why try to be trap, ohh I know why, it's because you aren't really about that folk lyfe and want to be a famous musician so you incorporate trap because that's the biggest bandwagon in music right now. EMBARRASSING!!!! Bro you always hide from my truth.
After all that I did to help you and you avoid RECCing me? Absolutely no class. Not bad I guess but This is definitely beginner's music for sure bro. Your beats are a big generic and I recognize the Samples. the sample sounds like it was recorded to a 15ips tape machine with a live band going straight through a console, and the drums are coming from a drum machine, synth, or stock DAW drum samples, chances are the context won’t make sense, you should always focus on that crispy sound quality bro. In my mind I’m thinking “ok, what can I do to make these drums sound better, like they BUMP to the sample, but still stick out and hit hard?” Bro... Think about it like this, it might mean you have to be processing to the sample, or processing to the drums, or both. And generally needssome experimentation to make it BOOM in the speaker. And also mmatching the space is super key. This isn’t easy, it takes a really ADVANCED ear like mine. But if you can train yourself to listen to the ambience in the sample and recreate that ambience around the drums, but don't get confused. You follow? Next turn up the EQ low end (bass) and ta-da you're better. Hope this helps, Well.,...... I KNOW it will, it just depends in if you take my advice or not. Bro live your life, it's not that crazy bro. Be yourself! Live life to the FULLEST!! If you die without fully living your dreams and being true to yourself you will regret it! If you don't fully be yourself you will most likely be reincarnated and have to try again... LIVE YOUR LIFE LOVE YOUR LIFE Work on diversifying your production technique bro.

never really liked this style but you did this really well, good producer and good vocals

im not sure who you are im new at this.
Aiden Adams
thanks for listening! i like your voice, and the bell sound of the guitar. feel like this could be in moonrise kingdom, or even similar to cat stevens if it were fleshed out a bit more i like the video a lot, it fits the vibe. my main critique is that it gets a bit repetitive and sticks to pretty simple ideas
William Wright
hes nothing, please disregard, hes made no good music and has no standing in any industry hes the last person who should be doling out advice.
Tyler Clark
can someone upload a picture of djdubbi's face?

Brooo, you really don't know??? Bro this is me I'm the big boss, I'm the magician. I'm the king of these threads, I'm the guy who famously destroyed the popularity of dubstep and brought in the age of trap bangers.
LOL ok there kiddo. Learn to have fun bro. They WANT you to be miserable, they don't want to to be light of heart. You need to be more enlightened bro!! This life may not be what you've been taught. LIVE YOUR LIFE TO THE FULLEST. You think these share threads are important? Bro, make some meaningful relationships in the physical world, this cyberspace relm is mostly just a trap for you guys, but... It can be a tool for magic HAhahahA!!
Why do you hate him so much? He seems more like a class-clown than an asshole
William Ross
you either have a headshot or you are not a famous musician
Camden Jones
Looks famous to me lmao. That's one ugly mug.
Jose Stewart
is this even a share thread anymore?
Elijah Robinson
>daft punk >slipknot >day mo 5 >ghost >gwar Shall I continue?? LOL Are you implying I'm a charlatan? That's pretty not accurate bro. Nice job being upset at a legitimate entity having fun.
Bentley Diaz
he might seem that way at first, but he's an asshole. he might be a troll with too much time on his hands, but he'll respond to people saying stuff like "if you wanna make this song better, hire a crew of people to make a better song. or better yet, have me teach you to make a good song" he makes mediocre dubstep. i wouldn't be surprised if he's secretly some famous person who crafted a pathetic persona because of how bored they are

>i wouldn't be surprised if he's secretly some famous person who crafted a pathetic persona because of how bored they are A while ago someone had a theory that Dubbi is actually Fantano
Hunter Parker
Come on bro... No beats in true&pure Ambient bro. Bro just use your thick skin. Ohhhh wait I get it you don't have a thick skin because you didn't have a strong father figure so you grew up never dealing with criticism, so now any criticism feels like a personal attack on your meek weak bubble you have. Sad bro, try to man up a bit bro. If funny jokes on a japanese water filtration site upset you .... you got issues. You're trying to be me now lol

>he might be a troll with too much time on his hands, He has songs on his soundcloud from 2013, and he commented on those songs the same way he talks now. I couldn't imagine a troll spending 6 years doing this.
Carter Robinson
>How do I turn the sub up in A and B and on the mixer?
that's the thing. i'm not sure if it's more likely that someone like dj dubbi actually exists, or that someone has so little to do that they spent huge amounts of time on an unfunny persona for 6 years
HA I have a lot of hobbies. I have a BIG personality, I'm not like you little men where you have a desk job and a little hobby of "bedroom pop" LOL . You probably like some of my other work and not even know it's me . What system are you working with bro? REC, you've really improved bro.
Brody Parker

the things that makes me think he's a troll, and not someone who's sincere are 1. his music. it's not just trash, it's seems like it's specifically made to be trash. i listened to one of his songs once, and it had autotuned burping in it. it seems like it's specifically designed to be obnoxious 2. the way he talks. he uses so much caps on specific places (again, it seems specifically designed to be obnoxious, like bad bait), and it seems like there is a part of him that actually wants to defend himself sincerely every now and then, and in those moments the persona seems to break character to some degree
but who knows, maybe it's just some guy in a mental institution
Brandon Mitchell

# I walk my dog every day bro. Sorry that a little walk around the block burns out your testosterone and then you're a nothing-entity the rest of the day. I'm a BIG thing, I have a lot going on. # Bro.,, I have so many full projects I work on in many different fields/artforms. Dubbi is just a lower level project of mine. You guys talk about my other stuff on this site by the way...
Benjamin Morgan
>name one of those big projects, and give proof that you made it LOL Bro... what's the point of compartmentalization of personas if I tell you about it. That's literally the POINT to compartmentalization, to keep people in the dark bro.
Levi Green
Well you're probably right about all of that, he mentioned one night that he has schizophrenia and is heavily medicated for it. If you ever want genuine responses from him, post here at night, he seems to be honest at night and not all "bro you suck Im the best"
Justin Brown
I wish you guys would post music comments instead of insulting dubbi.
Matthew Kelly
damn. if he has schizophrenia and he's not just a troll that's actually pretty depressing
Lincoln Reyes
bro... you MUST be smoking crack
Isaac King
Yeah I felt bad, and when I see him post like this talking about magic and "LOVE YOUR LIFE" that seems sad if he's just a schizo having meltdowns online.
Leo Jackson
I hate him, I'll insult him all day if it means he'll know his dubstep sucks.
Dubbi ur a homo u reccd me and didn't even listen to my song
Lincoln Clark
Not bad bro, but careful using really recognizable sounds/samples... The problem I have with 99% of "musicians" who sample other people's work is LONGG. The big thing is with these digital sound sampling devices, back in the day my sh!t was ANALOG bro, do you even know what analog means? Whatever, anyway these digital systems are, we are told, music mimics par excellence, able to render the whole orchestral panoply, plus all that grunts, or squeaks. The noun "sample" is, in our comodified culture,pre-fixed by the adjective free, FREE. as in STEALING. So now you're lying about being an artist and if one is to consider predicating this subject, perhaps some thinking aloud on what is not allowable auditory appropriation is to be heard. Some of you, current and potential samplerists are confused, I KNOW you're confused, and it's about the extent to which you can legally borrow from the ingredients of other people's sonic manifestations. Is a musical property properly private, and when and how does one trespass upon it? Like myself, you may covet something similar to a particular chord played and recorded singularly well by the strings of the estimable Eastman Rochester Orchestra on a long-deleted Mercury Living Presence LP of Charles Ives' Symphony #3 and you're thinking "Oh no, welp here's another song down the DRAIN". Bro whatever, if you're an artist you're on the schizophrenic-spectrum, having a vivid imagination means you're slightly schizo, so don't DON'T feel bad for me. I'm living my life bro. Life isn't always sunshine and rainbows bro, we all have tough times and go through stuff that can mess you up. BUT I will always come back stronger, even if I'm not sane anymore at least I'm still 100% MYSELF! Right? Why is me helping people so upsetting lol

Recognizable sounds? I created all these sounds from scratch. I don't steal shit. And then you go off on a rant about random shit. Dude, get fucked.
Interesting, this could fit well in a psychological thriller film about hackers who're trying to blow up nuclear plants. This sounds like David Bowie died. Oh wait, he did. Fuck... but I mean you sound kind of like a soulless version of David Bowie. Not that there's anything really Bowie-esque about this, or that soullessness is bad, but that's just what my first impression was. Always really comfy stuff. (pls resbond to my email (or don't, I know I'm a faggot)) Weird and chaotic-sounding, I like it. Could be thiccer and harsher, but maybe that wasn't even what you were going for. Always good stuff, but The Second Coming is still your best imho. TORILLA TAVATAAN! Really nice, could be mixed to sound heavier but that's probably part Soundclould's fault for reducing bitrate. I only listened the first track so far, sounds cute and has a late autumn vibe. Would be fitting in a depressing black-and-white film about homeless kids. Definitely enjoying it and will listen to and download the full album later. Very comfy, feels sad and nostalgic. The lo-fi sound works well with this, but the vocals could be a little more prominent imho. Ignore him, he's probably literally mentally ill to the maximum. I collabed with him and the track is still unreleased because he didn't even respond when I sent him the finished song... so yeah.
lmao just ignore this retard, he said the same thing about my track too, no idea why.
Julian Hughes
how do i sound like david bowie if it's not bowie-esque? i like the way the instrumental starts off, the first minute of the song reminds me of gorillaz actually, but i'm personally not a fan of of the devil metal type stuff. i think the hissing/movie monster stuff is a bit overplayed, but i do think there's potential in the instrumental
Ayden Miller
>how do i sound like david bowie if it's not bowie-esque? I don't know, like I said it was just my first impression for some reason. I get weird first impressions sometimes, but they still stick. >i like the way the instrumental starts off, the first minute of the song reminds me of gorillaz actually Thanks, I guess. >i'm personally not a fan of of the devil metal type stuff. i think the hissing/movie monster stuff is a bit overplayed To each their own. >but i do think there's potential in the instrumental If you mean the retarded rock stuff, then that's just a joke and meant to be cringy as fuck... not something I do seriously. I won't make more, or if I do, it's ironically just like in this case.
Brayden Reyes
>probably literally mentally ill to the maximum. I used to think he was just a troll back in 2015 but seeing how committed he's been to doing this-- I can't fathom something doing this as long as he has just for the lulz or what ever.
Austin Smith
>2015 I looked at his Soundcloud, he's been doing this since evern earlier than that. Guy is fucked.
Chase Young
yeah he's always telling me to get into a "legit" studio because I don't know how to make music, while he shits out the worst edm I've ever heard.
Jordan Myers
the "shitty rock" part of this song, where you do locrian or some shitty blues scale or something, its the only good part of the song, the rest is stupid bullshit
Hudson Morris
And who are you?
Luis Hill
Check me out here Beat is super dope...as far as the vocal I have the same critique as I did on the other joint I heard from u...sounds like u need to find the right key on the auto tune cause it’s bringing u to some notes that aren’t in the scale...
I love this shit great job bro subbed on SC would love to send u some beats
This is a cool song, I wish the vocals were slightly clearer in the mix but there are some great ideas in here...good singer wanna hear more
Brayden Barnes
FUCK YOU dubbi, fuck right off. You're just mad we all hate your shitty dubstep. Fuck off Dubbi.
Jacob Collins
I doubt it's him, it's probably one of the actually good musicians ITT. I mean, that song is total shit... just because it's intentionally shit, that doesn't make it not shit. :^)
Because your tracks ooze this sorta unstable character that could be translated well into psychological ploys in a thriller sense. Would be great for like a descent into madness type deal
Tyler Clark
Or it could be that I have really no idea how to play at all.
Landon Sullivan
I'm no art critic bruh, I'm a stranger on the internetties
Fuck off. Everyone's music in this thread is amazing. The only person whose music sucks is Dubbi's.
Hudson Sullivan
Fourth and final single for my upcoming project Spiderman: Redux. The album is based album on the original Spiderman video-game for PS1 Any feedback is greatly appreciated (:
this is really nice. everything sounds very professional, the mixing / mastering is impeccable. However , there seems to be something lacking. I'm not sure what it is. Nonetheless, your killing it man--this is some really great stuff. It sounds like Dream Pop meets Trap and I fuck with that heavy.
I really appreciate the style you're attempting but it needs some work so that the piece has more movement and doesn't sound so looped. Keep the fuck at it tho my dude
here's a bandcamp link to my freshy released ep called Mirror >>boombap >>hip hop >>lofi >>japan vibes what else do you need? looking for artist to link with prodags.bandcamp.com/album/mirror
