damn I really enjoyed this, the chord progression is so eerie but pretty and warm at the same time. The synth choices are also on point, they fit right in. I could see this in a movie or videogame soundtrack.

love that guitar riff, and those background vocals are so pretty! The track has such a great atmosphere.

i'm having a hard time figuring out the vibe though. i'm not super experienced with glitch and idm but to me there's always a broader emotional purpose to the things that stick with me. of course these examples are all quite different from you, but for example: jan jelineks music is warm and comforting, ryoji ikedas music is extremely clinical and ridiculously meticulously crafted yet makes the head bop, fennesz music if filled with melancholy and sorrow. these things happen because all the different parts of the music work together into some broader idea.

to me, the song sounds immaculate, but is there more to find beyond that interesting sound? do these sounds really carry any emotional depth? i realize it's commonplace in idm to have clinical sounds, but i think there needs to be something human that drives the idea home.

I understand what you say and I get your point. See, I did a lot of melodic IDM, glitch, also ambient in the past year. My latest album "ciquaL" is hugely melodic despite still having an experimental direction. soundcloud.com/aedact/yllidfeal

Lately I'm more focusing on the exploration of timbre and sound design, searching rhythmic complexity also. These two things are enough to make electronic music expressive probably, you don't need recurrent melodic elements to feel emotions, which instead can be redundant at times. Electronic music is more about sensing rather than communicating I think.

The guitar melody and rhythm is fine, but everything else feels a bit stale. The drums are especially boring and it could use some other instruments. Feels like a good demo/start to a fuller song.

Cool synth layering. A bit outdated sounding, but the melodies are really nice. You really paint a different picture with each track.

Pretty dope style overall. I really dig the beat. Cool rapping. feel like you could add a bit of reverb to the vocals, they sound a bit small/dry in the mix or something. Besides that, I dig it.

really love the different combo of styles in here. You should do more vocals like the first one. Really stood out.
