Wild Mood Swings: 1/10
A 1/10 from either of those bands is still better than most musicians can muster
and Wild mood swings is at least 6.5/10
Yeah, the first song is good, doesn't mean the album deserves anything more than a 3.
Any band with enough albums has both 1s and 10s.
All Syd material: 10/10
All Roger material: 1/10
What’s the 1/10 from the Kinks?
>pic related
>10/10
>With Teeth
>1/10
good post, on that same vein of thought:
trout mask replica 1/10
all other beefy 10/10
seriously what is so alienating about Trout Mask Replica?
I get it takes a few listens for it to click properly, maybe more so than many albums but it seriously isn't that impenetrable
Melvins
The Maggot: 10/10
Prick: 1/10
Jupiter Crash is Kino pleb
Wild Mood Swings has Want and Jupiter Crash, which are enough to make the album at least 4/10
Basically any prog band with a 10/10 album who continued into the 80s and 90s has at least one or two 1/10s. King Crimson escaped unscathed but Yes and Genesis have several truly horrible albums.
i feel it's not a good representation of beefheart, it's more about the fantasy of being in the magic band house and the context behind the creation. i think it's john french's worst, but then i suppose that's due to exhaustion both physically and mentally
Blame zappa.
Why? Because beefheart spent the entire album trying too hard?
>Hold Your Fire
>1
You can't be serious. 80s Rush is literally best Rush, and Hold Your Fire is one of their most underrated albums.
The actual 1/10 in their discography is Test for Echo.
Zappa produced the album. Beefheart didn't like it all that much, felt it was too studied. He just wanted to play.
80s Rush is great, but Hold Your Fire fucking sucks.
WLWH
Squeeze
Weezer
The Blue Album: 10/10
Make Believe: 1/10
you're a contrarian moron if you somehow like Decals but not TMR
Metallica is one easy choice but this site is zoomer as fuck
Master of Puppets + Ride the lightning
Lulu and st anger are utter shit
weezer
pinkerton 10
raditude 1
these albums are interchangeable with others from their discog, but a lot of people agree that they have at least one of each
This on all counts
pre 1981 rush is my favorite band. anything after that is shit
>Any band with enough albums has both 1s and 10s.
very wrong
construkction of light and that blue album were garbage
>Hold Your Fire fucking sucks
Have you actually listened to it?

Hold Your Fire is one of their best and most underrated records (Power Windows being their actual best).
Time Stand Still, and Lock And Key are the only good songs from it. Agree that Power Windows is great.
And an album with 2 good songs on it is a 1/10 in your book?
>construkction of light
yes
>beat
no
>Beat a 1/10
Get a load of this faggot
>Signals, Grace under Pressure and Counterparts are shit
Kys
Gang of Four
Entertainment is a classic, but Mall, Hard and their last 2 albums are horrible

BASED that album is trash. 2 good songs though
FUCKING THIS
>VDGG
Pawn hearts 11/10
World Record 1/10
*Pinkerton 10/10
Rest of Weezer 1/10
Pinkerton: 1/10
rest of Weezer: also 1/10
Toto covering Weezer: 10/10
Second Toughest in the Infants - 10/10
Change the Weather - 1/10
It's kinda unfair to count the first two albums though since they were more of a full band at that point and hadn't dialed in their sound. Excluding those two albums their discography is pretty much all masterpieces.
Saint Etienne has no bad albums. Underworld almost fits, see above.
>Canibus
Rip the Jacker: 10/10
C! True Hollywood Stories: 1/10
>10/10
Stag, Lysol, Bullhead
>1/10
Prick, Tres Cabrones
Hold Your Fire is NOT a 1/10, but Test For Echoes and Counterparts both are. Then Rush have a slew of 2/10s and 3/10s with everything after Hold Your Fire, not including the solid 6/10 Vapor Trails (remaster).
With Teeth is actually his third best album
Trout Mask Replica is better than your favorite album
Make Believe is not a bad album at all. Kys.
TMR is the most popular album amongs pseuds right after Henry Cow - In Praise of Learning.
Does it matter? It's still better than your favorite album.
You need to go back
you need to kys faggot
You're right about Yes for sure, as well as KC I think if thrakattack counts as a studio album. Yes made The Yes Album, Fragile, Close to the Edge and Relayer --all 9's or 10's-- then made Big Generator and Union, which are both ones.
It's gimmicky once you find out what you're supposed to attention to. Interesting, sure but it feels like a novelty at the end of it.
Morbid Angel
Any of the first three
Illud
Cryptopsy
None so Vile
The Unspoken King
>Hold your fire
>1/10
maybe not their best but it's still a good album
Thinking about it, Rush could probably have an album for every number 1 through 10.
1=Test For Echo
2=Hold Your Fire
3=Presto
4=Roll The Bones
5=Caress Of Steel
6=Vapor Trails
7=Clockwork Angels
8=2112
9=Hemispheres
10=Moving Pictures
World Record is not that bad. Just sucks in comparison to their flawless discography up to that point.
Lol moving pictures is a 7 at max. It gets easily outclassed by Hemispheres and 2112 even though the storyline to the latter is one of the gayest things ever written by humankind.
Fuck you, hold your fire was amazing
>even though the storyline to the latter is one of the gayest things ever written by humankind.
agreed. 2112 is insufferable after temples of syrinx
Open secrets and Force Ten are the only worthwhile tracks
why is everyone shitting on St. Anger, it's great workout music while Load and Reload are plain boring
came here to say this
Kid Cudi, apparently.
10/10 Kids See Ghosts
1/10 Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven
MELON BE PRAISED
>trending on nu-metal
>terrible songwriting
>snare drum sounding like trash bins
>angsty as fuck lyrics
>every song is like a least 5 minutes long
no thank you. that album is pure garbage and it baffles my mind that the band that wrote Orion and One came up with that shit.
>it's great workout music
no, it's not. it's just terrible all around. I rather listen to my sister's jonas brothers playlist to st anger while working out. not even joking.
>outclassed by Hemispheres
Yeah maybe
>2112
lolno, most overrated Rush album by a mile. Even the title track is just okay.
>Tres Cabrones
What's wrong with Tres Cabrones? Not their best but a 1/10? C'mon.
>David Memewie
Blackstar: 10/10
David Bowie: 1/10
I'd say he has an album for every rating as well:
2/10 - Pin Ups
3/10 - Never Let Me Down
4/10 - Tonight
5/10 - Earthling
6/10 - The Man Who Sold the World
7/10 - Heathen
8/10 - Hunky Dory
9/10 - Low
no one thinks this.
>The Clash
London Calling: 10/10
Cut The Crap: 1/10
>2112
it's the Guitar Hero hype that did that
school of rock
It was overrated before it was featured in Guitar Hero
wouldn't call the bends a 10/10 but holy shit Kid A has gotta be the biggest meme ever
>literally #3 on RYM overall
moving pictures only has 3/7 good songs (red barchetta, yyz, limielight)
2112
hemispheres
a farewell to kings
all better
Permanent Waves is better too.
Union is my 10/10 by them.
I haven't shaved my pubes since April and it's really bushy down there
A few of the wutang members come to kind, hear me out.
Ghostface, GZA and ODB all released killer solo albums immediately after 36 chambers, and then like all the wutang members, kept making shit music far past their prime. Example:
Ironman: 10/10
Anything past Supreme Clientele: 0/10
Vital signs rules, you fucking pleb
>David Memewie
